Little brown fairy cake

After visiting the Little Brown Fairy Cake numerous times, I feel now is a good time to share my opinion. First of all on entering the premises you are transported into a magical world of disbelief on seeing the truly breathtaking creations that are on display, the cakes that she creates are true works of art... the shop itself has its own charm, beautifully set up by Nicola and her son, with a wide range of gifts for anybody into Harry Potter and such... you are greated by a beautiful smile and a friendly approach, sadly missing in other such places. The prices are very reasonable considering the great amount of work that goes into such creations.... Well done to such a great team...

You're not just buying a caking, you're getting a piece of art. The ultimate centrepiece for parties, Nicola is so skilled at 3D cakes. The cafe is a very homely, personal experience. Can't wait for pumpkin spiced lattes when it's all Halloween themed in there! My whole family loves going to Little Brown Fairy Cake.

Absolutely love the coffee and cakes here!! The best in town. I have had many amazing birthday cakes from Nikki at Little Brown Fairy Cake - all have been absolutely incredible. Pop in for a cinnamon roll - you won't regret it!! xx

This place really needs to be seen to be believed. Picture amazing, current memorabilia; seriously tasty hot coffee; milkshakes to die for; cupcakes and other treats that are second to none; and the most insane 3D cakes you will ever see. Award-winning Nicola has the most phenomenal talent I’ve ever seen and a heart of gold to match. I cannot recommend a visit to her highly enough.

Magical little shop. This is the best local place for booking a totally custom show stopping occasion cake but these take the lady several hours and skills to make, so if you want one remember it’s a luxury purchase for a special event and make the enquiries well in advance. However if you don’t have a big celebration, the shop sells absolutely fab cupcakes most days in a range of lovely flavours and the lady’s son in the shop makes a great hot chocolate which I’ve had before 🧁 ☕️ Loads of trinkets and gift ideas too

Delicious cakes and bakes all made fresh in the shop. Great customer service. Loads of lovely gifts to buy too. It’s my favourite place to sit and have a cuppa and a cake or two. Highly recommended.

I have had many cakes from Nicola, including my wedding cake and a grooms cake as a surprise for my husband. Both just amazing! So I keep going back, from cupcakes to larger cakes, always stocking up with goodies from the shop at Christmas. The shop is amazing and quirky, great place to sit with coffee and a treat. You won’t be disappointed and Nicola is great to chat to. Can’t recommend highly enough!

Wow! What a shop!!
The cakes (and the coffee) are delicious but more than that, visiting Little Brown Fairy Cake feels like a proper trip out. Everytime I have visited something has changed... whether it's the window display or the awesome shop (inside)!
The staff are always happy to chat, and there is never a rush to leave the quirky seating area. I highly recommend a visit.... if only for the delicious, old fashioned bread pudding!
