Lydford Caravan & Camping Park

This is an absolute gem of a site. Pitches are well laid out giving plenty of space to sit outside and watch the world go by. The shower and toilet facilities are excellent and very clean, with laundry and wash up room available if needed. There are several pubs with restaurants and a farmers shop within easy walking distance from the site. With several sites of interest in the idyllic village of Lydford you are never stuck for something to do. I'll definitely be back soon.

An absolute pleasure to stay at Lydford caravan park. Not just clean but impeccably clean !
Easily the best campsite we’ve used so far in our short camping life. It’s relatively small compared to most but this means it’s more private feeing. It’s almost feels like adults only but we had our two children. Note there is no play park to entertain small ones.
A mixture of soft / hard standing pitches. Very clean all over and well maintained. Showers are very modern with plenty of very clean toilet / sink cubicles. Laundry room was a life saver, £5 for a wash in a commercial washer and £1 for the dryer. The shop have all the necessary items but don’t expect a wide range.

Only regret is the at we’re not staying longer.

Liked: Spacious, very quiet and respectful. Large pitches. Dog walk is perfect. Showers and Toilets are superb and very clean with plentiful hot water. Steve and Anita are great hosts and always available for advice.

Disliked: Not disliked as such, but some low level lighting on the path from Dart to the shower block would be a wonderful addition

Liked: Lovely green, leafy site. Quiet and with good size pitches in the Dart Field. Excellent for walking as you can leave your van behind and do lots of fantastic walks straight from the site. Perfect for campers with dogs. Lydford gorge circular walk is a must. Wardens were great and the little shop in reception stocked all basic essentials. Good WiFi at reasonable price too. Probably my favourite campsite visited so far! And that’s over 5 years!

Disliked: Nothing!

Amazing site. The showers/toilets and other amenities are so clean. The staff are so friendly and helpful. The best I've come across. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back. Perfect location 👌

Just had a 3 night break in Lydford. Amazing site. So clean, well manicured and a lovely peaceful location. The staff were so friendly and helpful and couldn't do enough for you. Will definitely be back and highly recommend it.

What a fantastic site. So peaceful with no road noise unlike other nearby sites! Facilities
excellent and spotless. Wardens were lovely and friendly and went beyond the call of duty to find a well earned beer on one occasion! Excellent bus service close by ensured some great hikes on the moors. Definitely come again.

Liked: Rangers friendly and knowledgeable, spectacular scenery, shop well equipped, good flat pitch, site very well maintained, toilets and showers very clean. Excellent base for walking the moor. Recommend the evening meal at the local pub, breakfast not so. £28 for 2 cooked breakfasts with an extra egg seemed excessive but pleasant enough. All in all a fabulous site.
