Very capacious site, very easy to get to. Huge array of pitches but grass with electric can get snapped up. Large, friendly team who a very efficient at getting everyone sorted and on pitch (despite being busy on the weekend they were a tight operation). For dog owners there's a dog walk, two facilities blocks with the usual washing up areas, chemical disposal and family room, also looked to be wheelchair accessible. Again, quite capacious with plenty of washrooms and showers. Hertford is an easy walk (10 mins at a slow pace) so you get the feel of rural at site to busy town in a short space of time, with plenty of shops and eateries to choose from once there. Even looks like take aways deliver of given the pitch number. For out and about, would recommend for fans of woodland or garden walks, or people who wish to travel into London, other than that be prepared to drive a while for more diverse things to do. Chose to spend most of the time on site reading under a tree...total blissful relaxation.

This is a great site for families with plenty space for the kids to run around- minimal play equipment though for such a large site.

Definitely the biggest site we have been to. Facilities are in need of being updated -there was no hot water available during our visit and for a large site, there was only 2 facility blocks with 3 showers in each of the bathrooms which were rather tired looking.

Pitches are a great size so you definitely feel like you have a space of your own, however no serviced pitches are available here and the only bin area and water filling was at the very start of the site (quite a walk for many pitches). No on site shop, but there was an ice-cream van which came around.

Cant fault the staff who were lovely and very helpful - there is a temporary manager (Andy) here at the time of writing this who was very approachable and helpful.

Like this campsite, stayed a few times now, site is very clean and tidy, great shower blocks. Plenty of open space for kids to play, there is a small park with swings and slide. 5 minutes bike ride into town.

Lovely site with a parkland vibe. Very helpful staff. Good size flat pitches. As some others have noted the facility blocks are looking a bit tired but I would definitely stay there again.

A large campsite with lots of spaces. Its well laid out so you don't feel cramped. There are lots of grass areas that have been left for wildlife. See a young Muntjac walking out of the trees early one morning. Lovely to hear the birdsong all day long.
The campsite is within walking distance of Balls Park that's well worth a visit. This is our first visit here but it won't be our last. Some Covid restrictions apply.
