We visited, as we were passing by, to ask if we could empty our waste tanks. An unfriendly receptionist appeared to ignore our request and just continued typing. When we said we were of course more than happy to pay to use their facilities, we got the reply, "It's not my decision," said in a way that indicated we were bothering her and being rather tiresome.

She then went into the open back office where, presumably, the bosses/owners were. Three of them then had a discussion about whether they could accommodate our request. The receptionist then returned and said, "You can use the facilities if you make a donation to our charity," which we did.

No further information was offered and she returned to her typing, so we then had to ask where the facilities were. She then gave us a map and marked an X on it, and said she would let us through the barrier. No further words or pleasantries were offered, like, "Have a great day," "If you need any more help, just let me know," or even, "Goodbye!"

We drove up to the barrier and then sat there, for a couple of minutes, until another member of staff walked past and said she would let us in.

I do appreciate we were not paying customers on this occasion, however this is somewhere we would definitely have stopped off in the future, had we not been treated in such a dismissive and offhand manner. As it is, we'll find somewhere else to stay instead now.

This is quite a long review for what was really just a minor, poor customer service experience, but it was quite annoying to be treated this way, when a smile and a few friendly words are all that is required, and they don't cost anything.

Judging by the other reviews, our experience seems to be the exception, so if you go I'm sure you'll love it. From what we saw, the site looks fantastic and I can see why it has so many 5* reviews. Unfortunately we had a 1* experience. So I've tried to be fair and given it 3* overall.

We had a relaxing stay in this camping site, returning for our second visit. Super, medium-sized. Clean and tidy. Unfortunately the temp was mid 30s which was too hot in a tent (not the camp sites fault). There is very little shelter on the camping field though and perhaps this is something the site could look at.
The caravan sections of the site do have a lot of trees to help with this.
The pool is a wonderful addition. Sessions could be booked 24 hours in advance for 90 mins. I would recommend booking early.40 person per session was just perfect. Clean, relaxing pool with lots of sunbeds around it, although a few umbrellas may have been nice. There isn't a freezer in the camping section, although there are two in the caravan shower block.
We definitely enjoyed it stay and will be returning. Staff were very helpful and the site is in an ideal location.

A lovely site

Very clean and tidy with good, but getting a little tired, facilities (ceilings) plus a good drive over MH grey waste facility.
Superb for Dogs, as loads of space and Rabbits are all over the place.
Friendly staff, great cafe and reception and an easy walk into Henley, it’s all as expected and pleasant.
There are a lot of seasonal pitches in use though, some are scruffy, not a good sign on a touring site.
We had a great time here though, a credit to the owners and staff.

We have just come home from a delightful 4day break at Swiss Farm from the moment I spoke to Pat who made the booking for us to the time we left everyone could not have been more accommodating. The site is lovely and well kept and great for the dogs if you have them , I was very impressed that they have a dog bath with shower !! Everything is clean .. showers /toilets and the washing up area .. the cafe and bar area is great and also there is a farm shop which has fruit and vegetables and dairy products also delicious home made cakes .. not to be missed .. the walk into Henley is around 5 mins into town and then thereafter lovely walks along the river .
The site is quite as well you can’t hear traffic from the road, so we will definitely be going again as it accommodated my dogs and my husband and myself something for all of us to do .. thanks again for the hard work and effort you put in to make it a 5star establishment..

Food on site was amazing, pitch was really good and in a great location for access to Henley. The showers were superb as well!

**Apologies for the typo in the first review I left**

The stay was excellent and we would thoroughly recommend!

Booking and arrival are very good.

The site is very well maintained, grass cut, leaves collected, hedges trimmed, rubbish areas tip top. The toilets and separate showers are very clean, well heated, modern. Showers are untuned and a good output. The cubicles and larger than typical sites offer.

The bar/cafe/bistro has a great menu with very good staff. Draft beers good too. We have drinks on 2 nights and Sunday breakfast.

The site entrance is a 12 min walk to market square with a proper pavement. Bus stop right outside.

Opposite entrance is path down the the river, offering a really good riverside walk but only away from the town.

Will return often I think, summer and winter. It’s very local to us, same county and just 60 mins travel.

And finally as we all should do often say thank you to all involved with Swiss Farm.

This is how they all should be, great communications and friendly efficient staff. Grounds are immaculate, toilet/shower block the best I have seen, always clean, large shower cubicles with a seat and 'dry' area, well heated, no 'push buttons' on the shower and plentiful hot water. Had a very good breakfast in the onsite restaurant, Henley is a short walk away, an enchanting town with easy and cheap parking should you wish to take the car. Had a fantastic doner kebab from Istanbul BBQ. Great walking in either direction by the River Thames albeit a little muddy. Can't wait to go back, never done it before but this site gets '10s' all round!
