Leek edge farm

Not great. Sure enough, there are facilities on this site, but they're not brilliant. Apart from the pitches, which are spacious AND serviced! Wow. We were excited! When I rang to book, I explained to the lady owner that I needed a shower as I've recently had a hip replacement, and although I can get about well, the shower in the 'van is a bit on the small side. Having been told that, you'd think a quick look in the shower to make sure it was up to standard, would be in order. Sadly not. When I eventually returned from the shower the following morning, hubby said, you've been a long time, had a good scrub? Actually, I'd spent 15 minutes scrubbing the shower BEFORE I got in it followed by a 2 minute dip. The floor under the duck boards was filthy too. Not impressed. The weather was scorchio and so we decided to have a BBQ, mega brownie points to the site for allowing them. Got all the stuff and sat outside to enjoy the sun. Or we would've done had it not been for some guy renovating an old VW Beetle in the steel building next to us. He was using an electric grinder and believe me, after a couple of hours of that racket, our nerves were ground to dust!! The lane adjacent to the site was also very noisy. We believe in live and let live, but needless to say, we won't be back.

Lovely little camp site and friendly owners. The site is not over crowded and is clean and tidy. Lovely views of the green hills ahead. There is traffic passing on the main road next to the site of which you will of course hear as mentioned in other reviews, but this did not bother us at all. The location is great. It is close to the town (10 min Walk) and there are so many supermarkets in the area to choose from and other large stores. Leek town centre is really nice and has plenty of shops and a market. The area is full of places to visit and the pubs and tea shops are fruitful. The site is dog friendly and there's no loud groups on the site etc...in all we absolutely love this little gem of a site and will be back again next year without hesitation.

Lovely quiet site, basic toilet and shower, washing up sink, washing machine available ,for a charge. Will stay again

Spot on camping site. Owners are really nice

Well were agreeing with Chris W.
Two years on and still the same, i'll start with the plus. Nice friendly owners, and serviced pitches.
The toilet block had one male and female TOILET. one shower and sink to wash your pots and pans. and they all needed a big dose of Cillet Bang.
The site also does caravan storage ( some noise from the buildings ) and there were vans everywhere some even had occupants in them. The grass needed cutting the roadways needed weeding. and the elsan needed bit of TLC. the site is next to the main Leek to Buxton road but the traffic noise was minimal.
Would we stay there again? NO>

Great welcome from the very obliging owners (Jackie & Norman). The site is well maintained and in a convenient location. We'll be back!
