Liked: Good pitch size, plenty of room for additional gazebo. Each pitch had its own fire pit and the farmer came round every evening selling logs, kindling etc. Also sold farm produce, we can definitely recommend the bacon! The site is situated in quiet countryside, with plenty of walking routes. There are also 2 pubs and a tap room within walking distance!

Liked: Lovely clean, quiet and friendly site. The amenities are regularly cleaned and well maintained, and help is never far away if needed.
The site is amazingly quiet and the evenings spent by a campfire counting shooting stars were enjoyed by all of us.
We had a fantastic time and will be back again soon.

Disliked: There was nothing to not like to be honest.

Another great trip down to Hale Farm Campsite! This is our 2nd year with them & they manage to impress us every time. Deliciously fresh sausage, bacon & eggs delivered to our pitch. Lovely clean shower, toilet & washing up facilities. The children absolutely loved the farm yard & lovely open fields!! Looking forward to next years camping trip to Hale Farm. Thank you Scott & Ruth, superb hosts as always

Liked: Family shower was nice and enough room to hang clothes etc. Always clean toilets and we have used compost toilets before but chose not to use this time.

Nice walks to village cafe and 2 x pubs.
Notice board on campsite provides info for these.

Lovely walks in the forest and surrounding area.

Little coffee van comes round in morning and ice cream van in evening.
You can order sausages, bacon & eggs along with logs etc for fire. Bit of mix up with order but this was rectified fairly quickly.

Overall- would stay again but would request an even pitch for better nights sleep and comfort.

Disliked: Not enough showers for amount of campers, always queuing but this was a weekend so may be different during mid week. Compost loo we tried using had flies when lifting up toilet seat and therefore off putting, so used the flushing toilets over other side of field. (1male &1female toilet).

Pitch very sloping and wasn’t made aware of this. There are a few pitches which aren’t as bad so maybe try these next time.

Not owners fault but Saturday evening extremely loud music (sure it wasn’t on the campsite) on until 1.30am sound definitely travels so probably just unlucky this time.

WiFi service is very hit and miss depending what network u are with so just be aware. We didn’t have this all weekend, which wasn’t really and issue but just something to bare in mind.

Liked: Hale Farm Campsite is an amazing place to stay especially if you like peacefull, relaxing pitches to stay in! The campsite provides you a massive clean pitch enough to fill your camps comfortabely and space to play around! The nearby farm is full of: alpacas, donkeys, chickens, turkeys and more; it's a perfect farm to take your kids with you to roam aroand! A spectacular positive about this place is that it lends you fresh sausages and eggs (that you could have for breakfast) straight from the farm to you (they were delicious)! The toilets were very clean for the people which was very helpful of the staff! Also, there were enough showers for all the people (6-7) in the campsite!

Disliked: One thing that could have been better, is the opening times of the farm nearby the campsite because it was only 9am-10:30am which is very short, and my son was sad because he really wanted to go to the farm but it was expected to be closed by then. Also the showers were very cold except for a familly shower-room which had more space and warmer water.

Loved this campsite. Simple but very clean and well maintained facilities. Friendly owners. We all loved seeing the farm animals. It's great that there is a pub a short, pretty walk away and we appreciated the coffee van in the morning. A real find, highly recommended.

Never been a massive camping fan but this has been my best camping trip yet! Loved the big pitch we were able to share with friends and how spread out the pitches were from each other.
Also loved the daily visits from Scott selling wood and farm produce and the addition of an ice cream van and coffee truck.
The farm was a massive hit too (and we only had teenagers with us!!!).
Would definitely visit again!

Very peaceful

Liked: Lovely back to basic campsite, clean and eco toilets, showers. We were lucky to be there at the end of the summer, nice and quiet, not many people staying. There was a noisy group there on the second night, being loud still at 1am, but everyone in our tent was asleep and did not bother us too much as it was not too close, so we did not contact the owner. Kids 7, 2 and 9 months, loved the animals, plenty of space to run around. Lovely blackberries that nobody else seemed to have been picking, big and juicy addition to our breakfast.
One tip, a hook on the wall would be good in the washing up area, would have been handy to put my bag for the washing up.

Disliked: It would have been good to have a fridge in the washing up area in this hot weather as our food went off whilst going for a day out, but I guess that is what you get going to a more basic natural campsite hence it is not a complaint, just a view.
