Amazing spot, huge site, but really well spaced out. Right on the Thames so can watch the world go by on the river. Great team really helpful. Little shop with basics. Great to have a fire pits on each pitch. Showers and loos clean and well looked after, not many of them, but no queues. Would definitely go back for another weekend.

Lovely site with lots of space and perfect for paddle boarding or kayaking as right on the bank of the Thames. Good facilities and staff very friendly and helpful. 45-60 min walk into Henley with kids. There was noise from a nearby event in the evening one night but kids got to sleep and stopped at midnight. Just to be aware of as Henley is quite a lively place so not the quietest site if that's what you are after.

Excellent location, lovely walk to Henley and right on the river. Facilities were better than expected, lovely hot showers.
The staff made our stay though - they kept going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed, helping us start our fire, giving us directions, and not to mention their fabulous coffees. Think their names were Ben, Tony and Charlotte.

Nice campsite next to river but next to a wedding venue playing loud music into the night incredibly loudly. Impossible to sleep. I would not go again.

Pluses: Staff were incredibly friendly and helpful. Excellent access to river and boats are available for hire on site. Henley is walkable via a nice walk along the river. Negative: Because it is so close to Henley it is not that remote (if you are wanting to be a little more off grid). We went twice (June and August bank holiday). Lots of goose poo all over the site in June from migrating birds. They'd left by August so wasn't a problem then.

We’ve stayed in Embers campsites several times now and always loved it. Unfortunately, during our stay in Henley this year there was a yoga festival on the neighbouring field and there was loud music, singing, drums etc until 10.30pm. This kept the kids awake and subsequently we had super tired children for the rest of our stay. I really feel we should have been made aware when booking as I would definitely have chosen a different weekend to visit. One of the reasons we choose embers is because the rules stipulate no music etc so we know it will be a quiet, family friendly site.
So I recommend going, facilities and staff are great, but suggest you check what festivals etc are on as it’s unlikely embers will tell you or compensate if you’re unlucky like we were.
