Very accommodating to larp groups. Lovely site, friendly staff. Remained friendly when my car got stuck in the mud (my fault) and kindly tractored it out.

Super place! Loads of lovely woodland and interesting landscape. Accommodation is very reasonably priced, though basic, and the managers are really friendly and helpful. They cater to all sorts of groups too.

The staff were rude and need to learn basic manners like please and thank you (although there were 2 really lovely staff there). The food wasn't cooked properly and they need to be more organised with serving food - at one point there was an hours wait. Food hygiene needs to be looked at as there was hair in the food. They wouldn't produce an ingredient list for the bread when requested.

Only there overnight but the warden was welcoming and very helpful. Good location close to Alton Towers, but also good for more traditional Scout activities.

I am a coach driver.. And this place is a bloody nightmare if you got a decent coach you will be gutted taking it into this place as your on a dirt track with over hanging trees and yard to turn is very tight... And it doesn't help that the man in charge is an ignorant up his own backside div.... He needs to think on he maybe a scout Sargent major but his ignorant attitude towards drivers needs to be looked at... Cus he going to do it to wrong driver one day and regret it

Very friendly staff. Lovely grounds. Be prepared to need a 4x4 if you have to drive up to the top - not a track made for little cars.

Warden is great, site is good for scouts to explore and experience the true outdoors. Have been coming here for years with my scouts
