Definitely been to better. The facilities are very dated and certain parts could do with a good scrub and re-grouting.
The pitches are a good size .
We asked to be sited away from park as non of our party had small kids- so we were put right next to the park !!. The noise started as early as 0600 and went on till 2200.
Don't waste your time or money at the fish and chip van. Queued for over an hour and it was not very good at all.
The site has a lot of potential but definitely needs updating.

We stayed here for a week in a caravan. The site is lovely and has a tranquil ambiance. There is noise from the nearby M42 but it didn't disturb sleep. There are two toilet blocks, both kept scrupulously clean, well done to the hard-working wardens. They all were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the nature trail and walking along the nearby canal path. The water pressure, at times was very low, which led to long waits for water containers to fill.
The lane that leads to the campsite is narrow with some passing places but they could do with digging out and being properly tarmacked. When there is heavy rain this lane also floods.
Would go again.

The campsite was great, couldn't hear the motorway from where we were. Site was clean and the staff were very friendly. Don't bother with the chip van that comes round, you will wait for ever for horrible chips, kabab meat you could resole your shoes with and the wrong order.
The lakes however are brilliant, a Great place to spend a few hours. Lots of walks around the lakes and through the woods. A paradise for birdwatching with all varieties about from kingfishers to robins. Dog's welcome but are restricted to certain tracks because of the otters etc. If you normally get bitten by bugs apply plenty of mosquito spray.

Great site, lovely staff, quiet even when busy. Chip van on Friday nights - cash only.
Wardens were a fab bunch. Even put a TV out when the Queen died to view keys bits.
WiFi ia ropey at best. Phone signal is poor for Vodafone, 02 and sky that we had. Struggled for any, occasional bar of 4g if in certain place.
Great mix of pitches, doesn't feel like a car park.

C&CC is the Friendly one and Kingsbury proved no exception. Easy walk to the Water Park and over the River Tame to Kingsbury visit. Breakfast lovers could take the walk to Kingsbury Village Cafe by footbridge over the River and past the Manor and church. The Dog & Doublet on the canal side is a short distance and an easy walk and has a unique chef with English and Chinese Fayre.

Friendly site with easy access to a range of walks through woods and around lakes, lots of birds to watch. Path surfaces are level and suitable for restricted mobility or wheelchair users.
