Liked: Clean. Great large pitches. Easy to get to and pitch was very easy to park in. Large safe field for children to play. Very healthful and pleasant owners. All facilities were very nice.

Disliked: No play area which was advertised. No transport links at all, couldn’t even walk anywhere as no footpaths. Very small showers with poor water flow. Need cash for electric showers and washing up hot water.

Liked: We had a spacious pitch and we didn't feel overlooked due to surrounding hedges. Very level and clean pitches It's a nice quiet site. Lovely countryside all around. Water was very close by and there were plenty of water taps around for people to use. The toilets and shower facilities were basic but clean. The shower had plenty of hot water. We did have to pay a pound to use the shower, but we didn't mind and 5 minutes was plenty of time. It is a dog friendly site. Selby and York are a short drive away. The owners and site handyman were closeby if we needed anything. We did enjoy our stay.

Disliked: The leaving time of 10.30 am is very early when you are on holiday. We felt very rushed. Don't understand why we had to leave so early, when new arrivals can't arrive until 2.30 pm!!!
There were lots of rules. Some displayed and some not.
Would have preferred to pay more rather than pay extra for electric and showers, but we knew this before we booked, so fair enough.
There wasn't a pub within walking distance as advertised, which was a shame. The nearest pub that we could find was atleast a 10 minute drive away.

Liked: The pitch was large, plenty of room with enough room for the van and the awning. We had the site pretty much to ourselves which was great.

Book swap area.

Disliked: Our greeting could have been friendlier. At the last minute an extra adult was joining our party. This came with a charge of an extra £5. We could not pay by card and my purse was packed away in one of the bags. We were not allowed through the gates to our pitch and bring the £5 when we had unpacked (reason given was in case we left and didn't pay it), so we had to empty the back of the van and repack it when I'd found my purse whilst our 2 young children were impatient and excited to get out and explore after our 1 hour drive.

The toilet block was not the cleanest with a large pool of water leaking out of the toilet which my 2 year old slipped and fell in...gross!! The pool of water was not cleaned up until the day of our departure.

This isn't the first site we've stayed on that we've had to pay for the showers but it certainly is the first where we've had to pay for the washing up as well!!! I didnt see this on the booking page and I very rarely use cash since the pandemic so washing up with cold water by the van was our alternative unfortunately.

Liked: Nice private site, felt secure
Clean showers and spotless toilet block.
Nice wooded area around which tents are pitched

Disliked: The site itself is very nice. only draw back is that it is close to a main road and early in the evening it sounded like it was on the preferred route of some high performance sport cars. During the night though the road was little used and perfectly quiet. If on foot, or bike if you have had a long day not very local for pub or shops.
Need £1 for 5 min shower

Liked: This is a brilliant site in a quiet rural location but close enough to visit Selby / York and all the attractions they have to offer. The owner Ian and his wife were great hosts and are always there if you need them but not in your face. Great clean facilities.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike

Liked: Friendly owners, good communication before arrival & during, really warm welcome & so kind and helpful throughout or stay. Beautiful spot, calm scenery, lots of open space for the kids & dog to run around & play- very family & dog friendly.
Good size level pitch with shade when needed, good facilities. Perfect family weekend away, thank you for having us :-)

Disliked: Nothing, was a perfect weekend break in the sunshine.

Liked: Nice Quiet, Clean site with loads of room for the family to play, 30 minutes drive from Leeds and York and 5 minutes drive to Selby. Also not far from Cawood Common which is a nice forest style walk for family and people with dogs.

Disliked: Nothing to dislike only thing I would say is a few pitches with electric hookup would be a good thing for tents.

Liked: Nice site, lovely owners, clean facilities

Disliked: No play area as stated on pitch up but there own website doesn’t say it has one so appears to be pitch ups error.
Also £5 cash up front for electric which is fine but not what was stated when booked.
