Chester Lakes

Very well run site, clean and secure. The shop though is tiny and not fit for the amount of customers. Constant road noise but didn't seem to bother the hoards that locate themselves near the marquee beer tent and fishing ponds. For a bit more of a peaceful experience go book yourselves at the woodland sites.

Very nice clean site. Yes there is constant road noise but it obviously worked as white noise as I had the best nights sleep for years!
Toilets and showers immaculately clean, fire pits available on request. Meadow parking is literally a field but it was absolutely fine. Would have been 5 stars but reduced to 4 as quite pricey at £35 per night. That said, I would come back,no question.

Great time had at this location last weekend. We camped at the meadow and utilised the facilities available.
All staff were very nice and accommodating. Jackie and Tony, Roy and wife made guests feel welcome and contributed to a great weekend.
A weekend made of good entertainment, good facilities, good company with great memories made!

We have been coming here for 4 years now. We love it, kids love it, dogs love it. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. Any issues, no matter what it is they will go out of their way to help/sort it out for you with no issues. Site is lovely and clean. We love the little bar in the marquee. The site has fishing, little shop, cafe and bar with outdoor sitting and a little park for the kids. Highly recommend and we will be back in the summer with family and friends as we do every August. From the scousers with the 2 little dogs :)

Disappointed in the place . My family have come here for years brought the kids there dog , this year I was told I had too take my dog home , then my family weren’t allowed on site since my tent could sleep more people than were on my booking ,and the owners new system was too stop people who might sleep in the tent than I’d booked for .After leaving the premises (despite being booked on too camp ,) as the new owners wouldn’t allow day visitors , as they used too , my family had travelled quite far and with kids so we had too go book into another place ,every year we returned for the family’s yearly gathering for mypartners birthday . But never again, it explains why the camp meadows were empty.

The old owners would never have refused people, seems there’s lack of manners amongst the staff especially the lady in the fish tackle shop

Some staff come across as very rude, they get very defensive and argumentative at any complaint and will try to fob you off. The Lakes are not lakes they are man made ponds. The area is quite nice and quite a nice pub nearby.

Had a cracking day's fishing here with family. Lots of fish were caught. Its also a campsite so there were lots of family's around. Looked like a very nice campsite although I've never stayed

Used to love this place ... We used to have lovely conversations with the old cleaning staff lovely young couple now the site is filthy and toilets are below par standards ..Chester lakes please employ people who actually clean best part of this site was the laughs we had with the site warden Jimmy he seems to keep things in check he should be running this place
