Very basic setup with no running water available (showers, sinks run on bags of water at the moment) . Decent small field and a couple of caravans with people living on site. Owner is extremely nice and helpful.

I can see this place is improving and would consider visiting again in a year to see the progress. Running water is in progress I'm told...

I absolutely loved it here!
Spent a fantastic weekend here 😁.
The Bell tents are beautiful and bedding is provided, you have a bench, seating area amd camp fire set up outside each tent.

Site owners are really nice and keep the field nice and tidy.

Family friendly, dog friendly

The only thing I would warn people about is the last 5min drive up the mountain to the site is brutal and your car needs to be in first gear quite a lot 🙈😂

Highly recommend it for a true escape from the hectic world 😁

If you are looking for a luxury glamping holiday.....this ain't it.
However if you like camping, being off grid and have a car to go site seeing etc this is more than adequate.

The bell tents are lovely, clean and spacious. They come with blow up beds, quilts, pillows and clean sheets.

The field is small but we certainly never felt crampt, the tents being a good 15 to 20ft apart. We found it was clean and you are provided with your own bin outside your tent and the owner goes around cleaning daily.

There are picnic benches, patio sets and chairs dotted around to use.
Also the bigger tents have huts with tables and gas BBQs under with the gas provided.

The owners live on site and were very friendly polite and couldn't do enough for us. We were asked several times if we needed anything, overheard them them pointing out toys for people's kids to entertain themselves with and was also invited to watch the euros with them.

There is a porta cabin with a working shower that uses water from their well along with a working toilet and sink.
There are also more rustic additional facilities for showering near the entrance.

We would have no qualms about returning in the future.

I think some of these reviews are very harsh. Its camping. I made a point of looking at the other tents they all had beds freshly made up and I watched each tent be cleaned and hoovered out after use (even witnessed owner telling girls it wasn't good enough and he hoovered a 2nd time, it was constructive feedback given nicely). The owner fixed a blocked toilet while we were there which provided 2 clean, usable toilets, the shower was also clean and mopped out each day. There is plenty of outdoor seating, bbqs, fireplace, gas rings, bottled water, footballs, tennis bats and ball and football net. Its camping without having to sleep on the hard floor and cooking facilities are provided. We stayed Monday to Friday with 4 children and enjoy a lovely break and good old family time. Thank you to the owners ignore all the negative comments your building a great site. Thank you

Where do we begin? There are so many problems with this place. First off the the Airbnb pictures are misleading. The camp in itself has no privacy and all the tents are super close together with very very little space between the campsites. The pictures show privacy and comfort, do not be fooled! We booked for 8 people and we were given one cramped tent that would've been bad even if we had less people with very little space for ourselves let alone the things we brought with us. The beds were airbeds and we realise that camping means we have to sacrifice some comfort but it more than the worst experience we've had. The beds constantly lost air and two single beds we received were stretchers with metal sides that not only restricted movement but could barely fit a grown adult. This wasn't even the worst bit. The toilets were the dirtiest we've experienced. One of them didn't even work cause it was clogged and the flush didn't even work. The other one stank and didn't have privacy with a back door that could be opened by anyone. On top of all this, the hosts were really rude not just to us but others that had been fooled by the Airbnb pictures and reviews. They refused to accommodate us since 8 people in a tent is a ridiculous ask. The WiFi is also a lie it doesn't work and don't expect the hosts to do anything helpful including the most basics of needs for camping or otherwise. In fact it got so bad that we left earlier than we planned to. I do not know how they still get people going there.

Expectation: a lovely, romantic setup in the middle of nowhere, with an actual functioning bathroom, a peaceful and quiet place and, in general, privacy.

Reality: a relatively small field with loads of tents all close to each others, quality of the tent and the setup was everything but impressive and we found the owner pretty rude and dismissive when we asked for advice for some good walks, as if we were bothering him.
The camp was full of drunk huge groups of people messing around and screaming the place down, running around with glass bottles and cans. Tried to contact the owner but no success. Horrific.
We genuinely didn't feel comfortable staying , especially since we have two small dogs, so we bailed. Waste of money, don't go.

Not a ‘luxury’ camping experience - Bell tent wild camping Welsh valleys

Although we had booked and paid via Booking.com and had communications with the host via the Booking.com platform, the owner was shocked to see us arrive and even asked if we had our own tent. After he realised we had paid for a luxury bell tent, he scrambled to try and get our tent ready with leftover beds and bedding, like he was doing us a favour. We arrived at 8.40PM after 8 hours on the road. We were so appalled at the state of the tent, which had been left in a disgusting state by the previous guests, we drove straight back home with our three young children.

I read the reviews on Booking.com and I was expecting so much more for our Anniversary Weekend and Father’s Day celebrations... romantic, idyllic, peaceful, stargazing in the Welsh Valleys. The reality was a disorganised host, a noisy campsite of 20 somethings, swarming with midges and a tent that would have taken hours to prepare.

I’m sorry to the owners for having to leave such a review, I’m sure you’re lovely people, but you cannot run a business like this and expect people to accept your disorder. I truly would feel terrible if another family like mine had to be as disappointed as we were. I have had to jump through hoops to get a refund; three frustrating days of constant emails and phone calls. We have not even received an apology from the host.

Loved it here, back to basics camping in a Bell tent. Sat with an open fire staring at the stars and moon.
Owners were lovely, friendly and helpful.
