Hidden gem in the Snowdonia National Park.

No hard standing or services, clean showers and fresh water. Mainly for tents and hikers but can be used by vans and caravans for a base camp.

We loved our weekend stop here.

I know someone didnt get on with this camp site after reading others comments.
For £5 per person per night. No brainer.
You get fresh water.
A small toilet block.
Showers for a £1 per use.
And sinks to wash your pots and pans..

Me and my brother and good friend found it to be a great place to camp at the base of the mountain. You can even see the summit from here.
Great little pub over the road.
And a 5min car ride to llanberis just in case you need anything else..

Nice campsite surrounded by mountain walls. Very near to both pen y pass and llanberis. In fact this is in the middle of both. Cab ride takes £2 per person from both these places. Bus also takes same fare as of May 2018. I did not manage parking in pen y pass. I kept my car in the site and took a bus (5 mins) to pen y pass. Trekked to Snowdon and them came down to llanberis. Returned to campsite by a cab.

There is a robinson pub opposite to the site. They serve good food as well. That is far enough to avoid any noise.

No pre booking needed for this campsite. They were not exactly full even on a long weekend.

No campfires. The toilet is clean but basic. Not many in numbers. There is bath facility with £1.

Nice clean and tidy campsite with stunning views and lots of space. Showers and toilets are basic, but that's to be expected considering the low prices you pay (£5 per adult, per night). Really admired the fact that they had trays in the waste area so you can recycle your bottles, cans and paper/ cardboard. Would definitely stay again.

Nice location. Stunning views. Campsite is cheap and cheerful. 1 tap for water. Showers £1 for about 5 mins. Toilets a bit basic. You will need own loo roll and soap. Some toilets have no lights so also take a torch. All that said...you get what you pay for. Was £9 for 1 adult / 1 child per night. This is greenfielding site on a basic level. Would I stay again...50/50

I love this campsite, one of my favourite for years . The price has doubled since I was last here 4 years ago but in rip off Britain £10 per person is still cheap ( £20 for a camper with 2 adults ) children are £5 . Showers are now free though . This price was for a weekend in August . Not very busy but the campsite next door was packed so i realised I had defiantly made the right choice . Cash only , no cards .
There is a pub opposite but no guarantee of them serving food . Busses to Pen y Pass and Llanberris that now take contactless payments .

It's an Ok place for if you only want a place to stay and a toilet. Other than that, there are better places, more expensive, but better, to stay the night. The toilets are dirty and smelly (I saw that the other reviews mentioned no toilet paper, but there is some now) and the showers are old and definitely need some renovation.

Another massive minus is that there is no hot water except for in the showers. All of the hot water taps in the sinks are taken off, denying access to hot water. This is quite unfortunate because hit water is a must when washing dishes.

I know that all the reviews are different so I recommend looking at all of the recent ones instead of old ones, because things have changed here, for example the fact that there is toilet paper and you don't need to enter a coin into the showers to get them to work.

Also, there is a list of rules outside the showers. I guess that point 6 and 8 are so important that they missed it!
