Very peaceful and out of the way. Camped with scouts and they loved it. You can hike out of the centre in any direction with very different terrain, forests and grass land. Just don't forget the midge nets that can be a nuisance when the wind drops. There is a good selection of pioneering poles and we made some impressive floating flag pole while there.

Fantastic place to bring your group. We camped and were pleasantly surprised to have hot showers every day, plus plenty of campers facilities. The scouts enjoyed exploring the campers field, making friends with other troops and learning new camp skills. We'll be back

Amazing Scout Campsite. Recommended the lake side camping area if you book. Only issue we had was the lack of water! Not allowed showers so had to go else where. We checked before arriving about the water we had issues 4 years ago where we had no water so wanted to confirm.

Great (if somewhat tricky to get to) location. Camping or bunk house overlooking a lake and cliff. We use this for a base when we are participating in the Duke of Edinburgh Gold Expedition as it is perfectly located for Snowdonia. As it is a Scout owned site I am not sure if it is open to general public, but if it is I recommend going.

Beautiful, quiet... Just what we wanted for summer camp :)

Amazing, brilliant, outstanding. Gret fun really like having to sleep outside due to smelly rooms and uncomfortable beds. I have to say though, marks chilli was banging. Some great hikes and awesome banta. River scrambling was peng👌👌. There was no where to put your personal belongings and the lack of pillows was not fun. Great window to hang bananas 🍌

Loved the annex — very quiet, beautiful views, space for a campfire. Kitchen was clean, showers had great pressure, and the beds were very comfortable.
Only cons: 6 min drive down a very narrow track to get there, we had some scouts camp where we were playing with our vortex when they joined us mid-week, and the kitchen was somewhat cramped when fitting 9 people in. I can also see the car park overflowing when the place is a full house!
Overall had a fantastic time, creating memories worth remembering.

Brilliant place to camp or bunk down at with good facilities. Yes it's remote, yes accessing down the narrow lane can be a pain, but you're rewarded with beautiful isolation and access to some fantastic Welsh mountains.
