Riverside Camping

Another fabulous break at Riverside. We go every year without fail. Its a beautiful site, loads to do in the area. We had a great time even tho the weather was torrential! Catherine the owner is lovely too! See you next time.

This site is an absolute gem, I almost didn't want to leave this review as the more people that know about it the more chance there would be of not getting the dates I want in the future! 😂 We have now stayed here twice and plan to come back every year!

The owners of the site are wonderful, friendly and keep the site so clean and tidy. Pitches are plenty big enough so you are not cramped in like sardines. At least half the pitches are riverside so you can chill in the evenings and watch the wildlife (lots of bats come out at dusk!), And during the day it's a nice place for a dip when the weather is warm 🥵.

It's great family site with a playground in the middle, no cars allowed once you have pitched up (there is a large carpark by the reception) so no worries about children running free, and all children must be back in/to the tents by 10pm/dusk (which ever is soonest) so it becomes wonderfully quiet from then.

I could go on and on about how great this campsite is but why not give them a phone, see what dates they have available and see for yourselves. You won't go far wrong staying here and definitely will not be disappointed!

Fantastic campsite first time here and the kids loved it. There's a river that runs through it that my two boys were swimming in. We loved it so much that we booked to go back in August.

Great site. Well maintained & plenty of room on fully serviced pitch. Restaurant/cafe on site, independently run. Open every day. Only serve evening meals Friday & Saturday.

Just returned from 3 nights here, and I have to say it’s probably the best campsite we have stayed in today’s. It’s clean, friendly and the location couldn’t be any better! What a brilliant place to stay!

One of the plus sides is that they don’t over crowd the campsite like some other sites. And the pitches are massive!

We will definitely be visiting again!

We first visited Riverside camping in 2015 and pitched up our tent. We found out from the very first night that the staff were very friendly and helpful. We didn't realise we needed a certain plug for the electric hook ups so didn't have one. The staff were more than happy to dig one out for us even though it was quite late. Since then we have tried to come back at least once a year . We love camping here and have also had a few holidays in the cabins. This year We decided to try out the luxury safari lodges and WOW!! Where do I begin the first thing you notice as you drive in is the amazing mountain views. Inside the lodges they are spacious but cozy at the same time with lots of storage areas for all your things. There is towels,bedding, toilet roll and all kitchen essentials provided which is a great help. The hot tub and sauna where a highlight with my family and sitting in the hot tub at night with a cold drink is so relaxing. After only two days of being there I was so relaxed it felt like I had been there a week. My girls enjoyed playing games and playing on the field infront of the lodges too. The fire takes some time to get used to but any problems and the staff are more than happy to help even in the rain. Weather sitting out on the porch relaxing or playing games on the table, having a bbq or sitting cozy by the fire, chilling in the hot tub or playing on the grass the safari lodges are perfect for a family holiday and well worth the price. But as amazing as riverside is its Catherine,adam and all the staff that make us choose to come back every time. They are friendly, helpful and always happy to have a chat without them it wouldn't be the same. So glad we found this site our little slice of heaven.

Excellent site and facilities for families.

Spacious pictures in the perfect location, the river side pitches are amazing, the kids loved paddling in the river.

Good play area for the kids and the ability to hire a fire pit was excellent too with the ability to buy the logs from reception too.

The site was full of families all having fun but also respectful of the rules and noise levels at night were very quite.

We only came for 2 nights and wished we could of stayed longer.

I think as a family of 4 we have all agreed we have just found our new favourite campsite!

Lovely site, great facilities. Our child enjoyed the river, play park, volleyball and football courts. Would visit again.
