Liked: Everything. Peace, beautiful walks and countryside, lovely accomodation.
Especially loved the fire basket in the evenings.

Beds very comfortable and everything provided. We just needed towels.

Superb site that we cannot recommend enough

Stayed for bank holiday and it Was fantastic! Roy the host is an absolute dream such a gentleman, communication couldn’t be better and a call if any issues which there wasn’t.
Pitch was best iv stayed on with personal toliet, fire pit and picnic bench! Grass paths were mowed down to get everywhere you needed and the long grass between pitches made it feel like your own space without anyone looking on.
Echo toliet was very easily used, very surprised as there was no smell the entire stay.
Me and my family will be back and recommending to everyone!

Liked: Absolutely fantastic camp site, well managed by very friendly hosts. We hired a bell tent and were concerned the kids might not sleep but we had nothing to worry about - the beds were very comfortable and we all slept really well.
Roy is a brilliant host who offers a first class and friendly service. Email correspondence beforehand answered any questions we had so we knew exactly what we needed to bring - which turned out to be very little as Roy has thought of it all from crockery and cutlery down to BBQ tongs, bottle opener and firelighters. We were shown the ropes when we arrived.
The pitches are well maintained and very spaced out. The showers are hot, the private eco-toilets are clean and do not smell. The site feels nice and remote but is only 2 miles from the local village that has a well stocked supermarket, takeaway and anything else you could need.
This is our first time glamping as a family and I cannot recommend it enough. We had great days out followed by BBQ's on the firepit underneath a thousand stars (we even spotted a shooting star).

Disliked: Leaving - wished we could have stayed longer

Liked: The pitches were quiet, the toilets were close to the pitch and the shower area with kitchen sinks were really useful with the water temperature being just right. Which is good because you can't change it. The communication between myself and the owners was lovely. Always on hand and very friendly. When we knew we would be back late and couldn't pick up fire wood, I emailed and asked if some could be left for us, and it was. It was a lovely site.

Disliked: The compost toilet had instructions (which is standard) but one of them was to wash your hands, although this is an obvious point, to do that you'd need to walk up to the shower area and wash your hands there. So a sink area outside of the toilet would have been really useful.

The seating area was covered but as it rained we had to pull the ropes tighter to keep the table dry although that didn't actually help much.

The site was quite close to a road, it didn't bother us as you can't see it but you can hear it. If you're looking for somewhere really quiet in the middle of nowhere this may not be for you. We found it OK though so not a massive negative.

Liked: Beautiful small eco campsite with 4 marked individual pitches and one set up bell tent in a large field. Felt really intimate, and privacy created by leaving the grass unmowed between pitches. Each pitch has mown area with level site for tent, picnic bench covered with a tarp and firepit area with 4 seats made from tyres. You have your own composting toilet( which does not smell!) and is emptied frequently. There is a shipping container which containers two washing up sinks and two showers. All kept very clean. In the middle of Welsh countryside, but with facilities in Whitland just 2 miles away. We used the campsite as a base for visiting many places in Pembrokeshire during our 12 night stay. Roy is very friendly and helpful without being intrusive. We loved the peace and quiet. Probably not the campsite for you if you want lots of facilities and entertainment, but just wonderful if you enjoy wildlife, peace and campfires.

Liked: well, theres nothing to really unlike about strawhill campsite. we had the most wonderful stay in truly one of the best campsites I've been to. First time using eco facilities and was surprised at how easy it was to use. Pitch sizes were magnificent, you had so much space to relax and spread out, almost like having your own back garden. Roy was the most accommodating host, nothing was to much, so for that, thank you ever so much having us come stay!

Disliked: Nothing what so ever.

Liked: Very quiet site with large spaces between units. Having own use of toilet close to the pitch was appreciated.
The facilites were kept spotless and were fine for the limited number of tents the site accepts.

Disliked: Temperature of the showers was variable - on one day the cool shower was about the same temperature as the hot one.

Liked: Booked a last minute get away to Strawhill and had a lovely weekend. Roy was super helpful and friendly, the bell tent was spacious, clean and comfortable. I loved the private covered kitchen area, our own compost toilet and the secluded field. The hot showers and washing areas were clean and it was all very well thought out. We're experienced campers but it was lovely to have a tent and kitchen all set up and ready to go.
