Liked: We stayed here for a couple of nights last year. We came back as the views are stunning and there were really good facilities on site. It's a small campsite so it very peaceful.

It's ran by a very friendly couple who live in their house at the back of the campsite. This year they have modified their house extention to be able to cater for guest offering teas, coffees, pizzas etc.

Overall its a love place to stay, very close to most of the brecon attractions and some good pubs within walking distance. I'd highly recommend.

Liked: Gorgeous location close to The National Showcaves Centre and waterfalls. Very friendly hosts. Fire pits and wood available as well as a menu of pizza, sweet treats, Tea for Two and a doggy menu, and the pizza’s are delicious! Clean toilet and shower facility. Wonderful site and would love to visit again. Definitely recommend.

Brilliant stay here! Hosts were so kind and accommodating! Food was amazing and veiws were stunning. Gorgeous country side, quiet and secluded but close to local attractions. Very back to nature. Could possibly do with one more toilet and shower room but the people and beautiful surroundings more than made up for it. Fantastic value for money, would absolutely go again!

Liked: Stunning remote location, liked the ability to buy pizza and waffle meal deals on site at a reasonable price, hosts friendly, facilities clean and user friendly. Beautiful bell tent with lovely decor and comfortable beds.

Disliked: One shower and one indoor toilet. We had brought additional lighting for nighttime, which we were glad of as we found the solar lights in the bell were not always bright enough at night.

Liked: Fantastic location, perfect for exploring the surrounding area. Small, relaxed camp site and flexibility over pitch location. Friendly, helpful owners. Wish we could have stayed longer.

Disliked: Single unisex shower/main toilet was clean and tidy, but did result in queues to get showered - having a bigger toilet block would make the site a 10/10.

Liked: Peaceful space with great views. Hosts were friendly and helpful with plenty to offer to make the stay special. The roaming farm animals made the stay magical.

Disliked: One shower room.

Just returned from a lovely 2 night weekend at the Sleeping Giant lodge. Unfortunately when we arrived it was chucking it down with rain and the views were covered in fog, but we got the log burner on so it was lovely and cozy and the hot tub was all ready for us. We ordered an afternoon tea for our arrival which was lovely and there was a bottle of Prosecco and Welsh cakes left for us too. The lodge itself was fully equipped with pretty much everything you’d need, plates, cutlery, kettle, tea, coffee, milk etc (but bring your own bottle opener as we couldn’t find one). There was also a cooler to keep drinks etc in. The bed was really comfy and the whole lodge looked immaculate and clean. Luckily the sun came out the next afternoon and we enjoyed the 4 waterfalls walk which was amazing but very tiring so it was great to have pizza and a dip in the hot tub under the stars back at the lodge. I’ve honestly never seen stars like we saw here, they were amazing and so bright! When we woke up the next morning to the bright sunshine we really got to appreciate the views around us. We had some chickens join us for breakfast and a sheep came to say hello to me on the way to the toilets (about a 2 minute walk from the lodge). There’s a farm down the road with friendly goats, ducks, cows and horses that we also got to say hello to. All in all we had a wonderful stay and I’d recommend it to anyone else considering the sleeping giant. Thanks to Melanie and Aaron. One last thing, I recommend the nearest pub to the lodge, I can’t remember it’s name but it’s a pub, restaurant and ZOO!! Although we didn’t eat there (fully booked on Saturday night and closed Sunday evening and Monday) the food looked amazing so I’d recommend booking in advance. Even if you don’t even go to the pub the little Zoo behind it is free entry and you can see Meercats and Wallabes (you can’t take your dog in though).
