Top Of The Woods

Stayed at Top of the Woods recently and it was absolutely fantastic. Soo and Jon were such great hosts and the food was delicious. Lovely little touches throughout our stay with the biggest being a totally car free site. Can’t wait to come back with my family!

Wow!! Our family of 5 (including the pooch) had the best experience at TOTW.

The entire site feels incredible. The shower and flushing facilities were some of the best we have ever used; modern and impeccably clean. The attention to an environmental aspect was also on point. Composting toilets dotted around the site and recycling stations aplenty. We will definitely be returning, 5 stars is just not enough👏👏 (we did take more pictures….well my wife did🤦🏻‍♂️)

Liked: Excellent pitch, flat and spacious. Very pleasant owner/s, very clean facilities, loved the Dutch barn area, and the food on the Saturday night was excellent. Did the night sky safari which was brilliant. The kids loved the ping pong table in particular and the fire pit/ marshmallows toasting!

Disliked: Nothing to dislike.... Some people wouldn't like the lack of phone reception but we liked really switching off for the week.

Quite simply the best campsite we've ever been to! A proper hidden gem, loads of wilderness for the kids to roam free in, great facilities, clean and tidy, stunning location, really helpful hosts with loads of local tips for days out and well situated to explore the stunning countryside and coastline. The night skies are amazing and the site is very peaceful and well laid out. Highly recommend ordering the weekend breakfast too! Looking forward to returning next year!

We loved our time at Top of the Woods. The setting is so beautiful and 'off the beaten track' but with so much close by to see and do. We took lovely long walks in the area.
Jon and Soo were very welcoming hosts and work tirelessly on adding to the delights at their site. They even gave us some free-range eggs from the chickens!
The showers and loos are wonderful and very clean etc
I can't recommend this place highly enough!

We had a fantastic stay in a safari hut with everything we could have possibly needed. Our children absolutely loved it, they had so much fun playing with the huge range of games/sports on site and meeting new friends (including the chickens and pigs). We will definitely be back!

What a wonderful place! My husband, 2 children (ages 10 and 6) and I have spent 2 weeks camping in the Meadow campsite at Top of the Woods. We recommend it wholeheartedly. It is a clean, well-run campsite set in a beautiful location. There is so much to do nearby, and Jon and Soo are extremely helpful and pleasant. Make sure you visit the Secret Waterfall, order pizzas, admire the night sky, walk on the Preseli Hills and explore some of the secret beaches.

Amazing location, amazing hosts and amazing pigs. Ha. Just on my way home from a 3 day work conference held here and had a great time. Excellent facilities and the owners were absolutely lovley. We even had a guided walk and a quick swim in a nearby waterfall. If you're looking for a great glamping experience then look no further :)
