Liked: Warm and very friendly welcome. Perfect starting point for hiking in Brecon Beacons. Free hot showers. Other facilities are fairly basic but clean and new.

Disliked: Another wash-up sink would be useful for busy times. Please consider a small playground for kids.

Liked: Plenty of adequate facilities - recycling, water points, toilets, showers and washing up areas. Owners worked hard to ensure all was kept clean and tidy.
Easy check in and with friendly and helpful owners.
Quiet site - the three fields are separated by mature hedgerows.
Shallow river runs around the edge of the site, perfect for a paddle.
Can have fire pits - logs can be purchased from reception.
Excellent WiFi at the pitch.
Great walks to be had right from the site - we walked into the Brecon Beacons. up Pen-Y-Fan and back. 8 miles round trip.
Great value for money with electric hook up.
Loved our first ever stay in Wales. We would definitely visit again 👍🏼

Liked: We loved our stay here! The owners were really friendly and we loved the easy going nature of the site. The facilities were clean and there was also a communal fridge and freezer which was handy. To the side of the recycling bins were lists of walk and details how to get there etc which was really useful. We walked into Brecon through country lanes which took us about 40 minutes and was lovely. There were loads of dog friendly places to eat and drink in town. The site itself was really peaceful even on a bank holiday and had a lovely river next to the site which was great for a dip and the dog loved it! We also hired a firepit with wood for £5 which we loved too. There were also some cows, sheep and chicken which was lovely and the wifi is really goid too. This was definitely one of our favourite sites and we will be back!

Liked: Really Friendly welcome; Paula and her family are just lovely. Friendly campers too. Free choice of pitch. River and dip pools on site, along with a mix of animals and farm life in general to roam around and enjoy. Communal use of fridge, electrical kettle and freezer all helped too. Free WiFi. Great location for getting out and about. Everywhere is kept really clean and tidy with Paula and co doing frequent checks and cleans, dawn until dusk.
My daughter (12) and I loved it here, we felt welcomed, Safe, happy and relaxed.

Disliked: Road can be a little noisy but we still managed to drift off and sleep. One toilet of two nearest to our field was out of order - it would be good to have both in service but again, no great shakes and there were more toilets nearer reception along with the showers. We were really happy here!

Liked: The entire site. The camping fields were clean and there was plenty of space between pitches. Lovely stream at bottom of field. Good toilets, showers and wash-up facilities + fridge/freezer. Everyone friendly and the farmer and his wife very friendly and helpful.
The site is very convenient to walk into Brecon on the back minor road. Brecon has everything campers need with supermarkets, great bakery and good places to eat. We even saw two trout jump out of the water on the River Usk bridge.
It is only a 10 minute drive to Storey Arms car park to climb Pen-Y-Fan the highest mountain in the Brecon Beacons. The nearby Visitors Centre well worth a trip with great views of the mountains and Pen-Y-Fan.
Excellent site and we are already planning our next trip.

Liked: Location, Host and pitch were all fantastic, exactly where I needed to be and a lovely peaceful couple of nights on site. River running past the site gives plenty of prime spots for a quick dip after a day on the hills which was an added bonus!

Disliked: Only 4 toilets in total and 2 showers - can imagine you’d be queuing in busy period.

Liked: Brilliant place. Right by a river you can paddle in. My boys saw an otter. Good hot showers. Animals to feed. Charging station and Wi-Fi. Fridge freezer to use. Fire pit to hire and firewood to buy. Peaceful and quiet. Lovely owners who checked in with us that everything was ok. Convenient location for hiking and also close to supermarkets in Brecon. We had a lovely time and hope to return.

Disliked: Nothing, even the weather was good!

Liked: Clean and tidy in a peaceful spot. Handy for walking the Brecon Beacons from the campsite. Good facilities, free showers, good toilets, covered washing up with hot water. The free kettle and fridge/freezer was a nice extra. Great to have Wifi coverage from your tent. Owners friendly and helpful. 30 min walk into Brecon but handy for meals and a drink. The Gurkha Corner restaurant was a lovely place, Nepalese cuisine, recommended. We really enjoyed our stay
