What a wonderful place to stay. 5 minutes above Abergele and you are in beautiful countryside. The huts were perfect for us (2 couples meeting up with other family nearby). The weather was perfect but even if it had been damp, there is a handy games room. The huts were very comfortable, cosy and private, with truly beautiful views and lovely walking in woodland behind the huts. We will definitely hire them again. We do really recommend this as a great location if you want to be away from the bustle of the coast but still want easy access to the area. Penny and her family are wonderful hosts: so kind and considerate, ensuring our stay was terrific from the start, with a lovely fruit bowl and welsh cakes etc waiting for us on arrival, then a fantastic cooked breakfast brought over to us each morning. Penny made sure we had everything we needed and It really was a perfect stay. Thank you, Penny, for such a lovely location and gorgeous stay. We hope to be back again soon.

Cannot rate this place enough! Penny was a fabulous host and makes a mean breakfast! She very kindly picked us up from the station and drove us to our accommodation. The stone hut is absolutely beautiful and in a secluded spot with only a few sheep in the field. Did not hear a peep from them our entire stay. There is a collection of board games and this kept us busy as the weather wasn't great when we visited. It gets lovely and warm in the hut thanks to the wood burner, enough to strip down out of wooly clothes and relax. This really is a hidden gem and cannot wait to go back. In love with everything about the place and will be telling everyone about it! Thanks again Penny and family 💜💜

Stayed in the shepherd hut and can't rate it highly enough. We had a lovely warm welcome on arrival and nothing was too much bother during our stay. The huts and barn area were perfect and the log burners were so cosy. Lovely walks with the dog near by and plenty of games etc to keep the kids entertained
Breakfast was also fantastic in the morning. Hope to come back again

Fantastic 2 week break here - 1 week in the Shepherds Hut and the second week in the Stone Hut. Beautiful and peaceful setting and warm and welcoming hosts. Thank you Penny for the amazing breakfasts and all the extras which were a real surprise.
Our dog really enjoyed his first holiday with us and the many walks around the area.

Thank you!

Really nice few days away. Penny the host is really friendly and welcoming, nothing too much bother.
Arrived to a fridge full of yogurts, milk, butter, bread and a plate of lovely cakes.
There's Loads of fire wood for the wonderful wood burners.
There's a lovely kitchen/living room which is cosy on an evening. There is also an open sided barn with a sofa where it is lovely to watch the scenery and the stars if you have a clear night.
The location is very secluded but only a 5/10 minute drive to the local town Aberegele which has a decent tesco. There's a decent sized woods for walks near enough from the doorstep also the town is on the north wales coastal path which is a nice walk along the sea front.
You are only 10/15 minutes drive from the seaside towns of Llandudno and Colwyn Bay which were worth a look around.
Overall a nice trip and would recommend

Had an amazing 5 nights in the shepherds hut.
Penny, Tudor and their children were so friendly and nothing was too much trouble.
We had our two cavaliers with us and they loved the walks in the woods around the huts
We only booked 4 nights but stayed an extra one as it was so tranquil.
Definitely going again

Everything about this was perfect! We stayed in the Stone hut for two nights and it was spectacular. Fresh eggs from the host's hens, local milk and yoghurts in the cool box. It was very refreshing to be off-grid with the use of an eco-loo, solar lighting and a wood burner. Everything had been thought of and nothing was too much trouble (we actually phoned up in the morning to stay that evening!). The hosts are super. Definitely coming back, couldn't fault it.
Surroundings are gorgeous too.

What a beautiful place to stay. Tranquil and quiet. A perfect weekend retreat. Penny, the host, is excellent. The hut is perfect for 2 with all amenities (except electric 😁). Highly recommended.
