Hamilton Farm Airfield & Camping CL site

Amazing site, very nice owner. We were on the main field with a pond view. Think we would ask for pitch 5 next time - best spot. Only a few miles from Ashford but feel very much in the country. Showers were nice with plenty of water. We saw Richard take his fab plane up Sunday evening - perfect 👍

From a single overnighter perspective this is a great CL. Easy to find, easy to get to/from Eurotunnel or ferries. Clean and good toilet/shower facilities. Spacious pitch. Friendly owner. Plenty of eating options not far away. Overall excellent.

The best camping experience, great views fishing lakes and aviation was outstanding, Julie and Richard thank you so much for your amazing hospitality, we wish to visit again. Highly recommended campsite.

Exceptional site to camp at. Wednesday fish and chip ordered and delivered and watching plane displays. Recommended to all.

Just had 3 fantastic weeks at this lovely CL site. What a gem, beautiful location on a private airfield, there are toilets and a shower, washing up facilities as well. Some caravans are around the large fishing pool, where my husband spent many hours 😂 We were pitched in the meadow, with a great view if the planes taxing to the runway, they came past our caravan and we just loved that. Richard the owner of the site is a lovely friendly chap, who stunt flys his plane over our heads, our own private air show! He even collects your fish & chip order on a Wednesday. We have been to many CL sites and this is definitely one of our top five, and will return when ever we can. Thank you for a fabulous stay.

IF Carlsberg did caravan sites it would be Hamilton Farm Camping! It’s amazing in every sense.
Firstly the host (Richard) is second to none. He goes way beyond over and above simply to ensure that you have the best possible stay. Nothing is to much trouble and he is a genuinely nice guy. If you are really lucky Richard will also treat you to some Aerobatics when he takes his plane out to relax, yep, that’s how he relaxes. The icing on the cake is that he takes orders on a Wednesday evening for fish and chips and then goes and gets them for everyone, he is much quicker than those on line food delivery companies too! (HUGE Portions)
The site is stunning and exceptionally well kept in all areas, the pitches are huge, the grass is lovely and thick, the toilet and shower facilities are spotless in and no matter where you are you are very close to the beautiful lake. Now, onto the lake, it’s dream time for anglers. NO day tickets so it’s only used by people staying there and it is rammed with fish. I don’t know what else to say other than if you are booked to stay here then your will have a great time. Well done Richard, just keep doing what you are doing, outstanding. “Yorkshire Lee”. I wish we could stay another two weeks!

Fantastic campsite/CL. Only lost a star because my electric post was out of reach of my two cables tied together and I had to borrow a longer one from a friend. It's a working private airfield and you get treated to a aerobatic display most evenings when the weather is good.

Edit: Richard (the owner) contacted me to say that he loans out long cables - and for that he gets the star back! It seems I missed the sign in the office...

Upon arrival I was personally delighted at the smell and cleanliness of the showers/toilets and it only got better from there! The paddock was a lovely spot with open fields and stunning sun-sets! - we were even graced with a beautiful barn owl each night making the rounds for its dinner. Richard the owner was an absolute Gem and made us feel so welcome. My husband soon found a nice spot by one of the lakes and I was very pleased that this kept him occupied whilst I embraced the sun and a good book! The two dogs had a great time too- exploring the surrounding fields and as an added bonus we got to see a number of planes and even a short "stunt show" from Richard the owner. We will definitely be going back.
