Liked: The site is beautiful. Facilities simple and well maintained- one of the neatest and well designed compost toilets I’ve come across.
Communication was excellent and the staff were amazing. We were nearby at a festival and had arranged a lift to and from site.
There was a huge thunderstorm- the festival was closed and suddenly thousands of people were trying to leave at once. No phone signal so we couldn’t rearrange- but they waited and searched for us in the torrential rain and then drove us safely home. They really went above and beyond.
Highly recommend the site and bravo to Sophie, Millie and Colin- our rescuers!

Liked: How easy it was to book and communicate with Rebecca who was friendly and very helpful. Our pre-booked fire pit and logs were ready for us when we arrived along with matches and fire lighters which were defo needed! Toilets were spotless. Field was beautiful with plenty of space and loads to explore.
All in all I would definitely recommend this campsite.

Liked: What a fantastic place!! Plenty of room to pitch up so no one was on top of each other. The location itself is so tranquil and the lady and I think her daughter that own the place are really lovely. We were a bit dubious about the sawdust toilets before we came but they are so clean! This is just all round a wonderful place where you can unwind and enjoy the peace and quiet! We will definitely be returning.

Disliked: The road leading into the site is a bit dodgy! potholes have been filled with large stones and rocks, some were so big that they scraped underneath my car and a few loud bangs concern me as to what damage has been done, my car is quite low so if you have a bigger vehicle, you may be ok. Apart from this the place is a gem!

Liked: A really peaceful and beautiful site. Tonnes of space to find your own area, no nearby campers or noise. Very friendly owners and other campers. Loos were compost but clean with zero smell.

Liked: Amazing spot, quiet and private. If you can pitch by one of the picnic tables it works a charm. We got a BBQ and wood and everything was brilliant. I was a little worried about the sawdust toilet but it was actually very clean and functional. Dog had an absolute blast too and more then enough room to go around without even coming close to the next pitch.

If you are planning on hiking from Tunbridge Wells, make sure to go via Eridge and through Eridge Park. The road that goes through Frant is fairly heavily trafficked and the sidewalks are spotty.

Liked: Peace and quiet - huge camping field with plenty of space to find a pitch well away from other campers. Trees around the edge for shade if you want. Compost toilets were very clean. Bush shower (watering can!) is a refreshing experience - you can heat water if you want, but we didn't bother. Hosts were very attentive but not intrusive - came round with firewood for those that wanted some. Perfect for those with dogs - ours had a great time. Can't wait to come back - thank you!

Disliked: Nothing at all.

Liked: This was our first camping experience in years and to be honest we weren't really sure what we would find. But Campfire Weekends exceeded all of our expectations. The hosts were there to greet us, and walk us through the campsite facilities. They also delivered our grill and wood, which was in perfect working order.

They came around every day to check in, but certainly never hovered and we had all the peace and quiet that we were hoping for.

Of course we lucked out with a beautiful sunny weekend, which was a blessing. But no matter the weather we would have enjoyed our stay. Definitely recommend.

Disliked: The noise from the road is real, but not a problem. You only hear it at night and it didn't interrupt our sleeping.

Liked: Absolutely loved this, the staff were all so friendly and helpful, owner took a walk around just to say hello and welcome everyone and make sure everything was ok.

lovely and peaceful, loads of space, the dog was in her element just wondering. toilets were always lovely and clean. logs dropped off to my tent for my fire. Will be coming again in a couple of weeks weather permitting. Thank you for a lovely relaxing weekend.
