Liked: ****Absolutely loved this site. ****
We received a text on the morning of our stay explaining how to get on site and where the pitches for tents were as well as the wifi information .This was a lovely touch.
The Owner was really friendly and always happy to help.
The views were lovely especially the sunset.
We loved being able to watch the cows and sheep as well as all of the birds.
The toilet and shower were fab and we thought the sensor light was a fantastic Idea.
The only negative was the sink only had cold water and that this was the only sink to wash up (its small too).
The owner is currently setting up a new shower and toilet which will be a bonus for next time.
Washing machine and tumble drier available to use which was great.
Free Wifi.
Other campers were friendly.
We will definitely be returning.

Disliked: The only negative being picky was there is no washing up sink with hot water for washing up. Take a bowl you can fill with hot water to wash up in!

Liked: We liked the location, very easy to get to and lovely views.

Good communication with site manager / owner who was accommodating

Nice to be around farm animals

Disliked: Only a single toilet / shower room, which definitely wasn't enough for the campers present on our stay, however it looked as though another was being constructed.

Wi-Fi was a strong signal but poor bandwidth, maybe just too many people using it at the time of our stay - not enough bandwidth to stream a movie in anything above 720p, but fine for emails, chatting and music. Mobile signal was full 4G on O2 however so we had no problems.

Liked: I have absolutely nothing negative to say about this site.

The day of arrival I received a text message with directions upon arrival and also the wireless password.

Upon arrival we selected our pitch and went to connect our hookup cable (bring a long one with you as some of the hookup points can be some distance from your pitch) and iwe were asked if we wouldn't mind using an extension cable plugged into the main building instead.

The site is very quiet even when full, which it was throughout our visit. It is set in the middle of the countryside and the cows in the field next door were always fun to watch.

Pitch drainage is not an issue and this was tested during our stay due to a thunderstorm on our 4th day.

The laundry facilities on site were a welcome addition and it is great to see work and money being put into the site. When we left, the second shower/toilet room was almost complete and looks very nice.

Will definitely be returning to the site in the future

Disliked: Absolutely nothing. Nothing to dislike. Site was as advertised.

Liked: It was a great camp site to stop for the night. It has a charging point for phones, electric hook up, wifi, toilet, shower washing machine and the gentleman that owns it is friendly. Me and my dad stopped there for a night to make the journey shorter on the way back. It was £17 for the both of us which was definitely worth the price. I am hoping to stop there again next year.

Perfect, rustic traditional farm site. Always a warm welcome. Easy access from Motorway and Lanark. New toilet with shower. Free strong WiFi and plenty of dog walks. Also great for wildlife watching, star gazing ( zero light pollution ) and transatlantic plane spotting. One of my favourite sites.

Lovely little stopover. With great views. Had a fairly quiet night with distant road noise. Didn't keep us awake. The price is now £20/night rather than £15 as advertised. Would definitely stay again as it is a mile from the M74 and only half a hour south of Glasgow. So really handy when heading further north.

Liked: Quiet site at the rear of farm buildings. No other tents present when we camped. Electric shower was welcomed plus the loo/shower room was large. Good communication from the owners prior to our arrival. Wifi.

Disliked: Very basic campsite. Only the one shower room/loo but think we were the only ones using it as only a couple of motorhomes there at the same time. Didn't see anyone from the farm whilst we were there. Would welcome an honesty shop of some description as we were hiking and not easily able to get supplies.

Liked: The location of the site was very nice…on a working farm, so loads of coo’s looking over the fence at you. Big Dave was a particularly happy coo. The toilet and shower were clean and very close to hand. The site owner checked in that everything was Ok just after we arrived. Dog friendly.Nice quiet site…..except the squeaky loo door, made me wince when I went to the loo at 3 in the morning :) another good thing was there was no additional charge for using the shower. Almost forgot…free Wi-Fi too !

Disliked: No real dislikes. Just a couple of things that might make it better. Tent pitches could be better designated, we had to ask the people next to us to move their car, so we could fit in. Not an issue as they moved no problem, but if the site was busy it would make it easier.
A wee mop in the toilet/shower room would allow everyone to dry the floor after a shower ( that might just be us, but hey)
Oh and a wee hot water tap in the bathroom.
