Clean toilets, the farmer is okay with having a fire place, the ground is soft good for a tent. 7 pounds for a night and there is access to clean water. It was only me tenting out It was nice and quiet. Shaped the dog visited me in the morning.

My friend and I stayed here in April while hiking the beacons way. The facilities are basic, a very nicely done toilet and sink in a shed. We camped on the front lawn. The family were very nice and friendly and the cats and dogs very friendly. I would suggest that the owners put up the location on the website on an OS map as coming off the mountain it was really hard to work out where it was.

Fantastic site for walking up the Black Mountain and taking in Lyn y Fan Fach and Lyn y Fan Fawr. Two toilets and a covered area with tables and chairs along with a kettle to obtain boiling water across two fields. Cold water available as you would expect and two older hosts to greet you. Would stay here any day, as long as a few bare necessities are enough for you.

Stayed here as part of my Gold DofE award, a very lovely place and the owner was very friendly too! Easy access to facilities such as drinking water, recycling point and bins as well as a cooking + dining area. There were even some cats that visited us!

2 outhouse toilets are here, however they did not have lighting during the night so remember to bring a headtorch! Few annoying flies in the area and sheep in the neighbouring field were also quiet at night (normally at my other camping sites they would stay loud until early in the morning!) Which was an added bonus.

Would definitely recommend coming here, even if it is just for a few nights or part of a hike. 👍

I had a really great experience staying at the Farmyard Campsite. It was a rainy weekend and I was the only camper, but Patrick and his wife were very lovely.

I camped in the front yard of the house and used the shelter to cook my meals on my camp stove. There no cell service (Vodafone) and I’m very happy about that. They provide wood and shelter, toilets and a wash basin. There are several potable taps around and a place to leave rubbish and recycle. The animals are very friendly and eager to meet you. I’m not sure about the firewood because it was too wet for me to make a fire. They also take card payments for your stay. Grab a copy of Patrick’s book. I’m waiting for the new addition.

I will definitely be back.

Such a peaceful campsite with really friendly hosts. I was in their front garden bit, it was very quiet at night & it had great facilities plus having a open common area at the side of their house was really helpful for just making tea or sitting at a proper table to have dinner & charge your phone.

The only thing that would make this place better would be a shower cubicle on the end of their toilet pod.

Great views and its at the start of a very manageable 1 hour walk up to the Lake. Can't wait to stay again,

Great camping spot on two decent sized plots. Owners are genuinely nice accommodating people. They allow campfires but you will need to bring a firepit, they have wood available. Outstanding position allows for access to several trails. No showers unfortunately. Decent bathrooms.
