I have just spent 3 weeks under the excellent care of first floor ward. All the staff from the domestic right up to the consultant were very patient with me at a very scary time. They all took time to explain everything in detail but only what I needed to know at that point. All the nursing staff did above and beyond their duty often working on after the shift had finished. Nothing was too much trouble for anyone. The support my family have been given is amazing and the treatment we I have received has been examplary. Thank you all.

Velindre is an incredibly important place with the most caring and attentive of staff. My Dad had his treatment in Velindre when he was diagnosed with cancer. He always spoke highly of the staff at Velindre and praised them for doing such a great job. He used to look forward to his weekly visits there. After my Dad's passing I decided to do a few fundraisers as a thank you to Velindre and it was great to give a little something back to them for all of their hard work and dedication. Thank you, Velindre, and keep up the great work, guys!

Having had chemo here before, my treatment and the staff have allways been excellent. Problem comes when you have a meeting with a consultant. How it is possible to be more than an hour late for a 9.30 morning appointment I just cannot understand. Another time the wait was an hour and a half for an appointment at 10.20. This is the third consultant meeting and so far the delay is only 45 min, but still waiting. I have also yet to have the simplest apology for having to wait. The total lack of respect for the patients is atrocious. Even just a simple, sorry you had to wait, would improve the experience, and make you feel a little bit looked after, not to mention it costs nothing.

As with every patient I've encountered, I agree that professionalism, attention and kindness is shown by ALL staff, not just health care professionals.
However, I was prompted to post a review because of how impressed I am with the cleanliness of the hospital, especially the toilets!
I have worked in many NHS hospitals over a 38 year period and I have never encountered such high standards of hygiene. The domestic staff obviously care very much about the wellbeing of patients undergoing treatment and they manage to achieve an impressive level of clean despite being constantly understaffed and underappreciated!
Thank you all x

Staff and nurses absolutely Brilliant, and so caring. If there was a higher star rating, it would be top marks.

Generally really helpful and supportive, be aware of the jobworth woman on the main entrance who clearly need retraining. Considering this hospital is needed for life threating conditions I would have expected better than to be barked at and refused entry with my farther in a wheelchair totally unacceptable!
