Went there for a nice relaxing kayak ride. Water is very calm this time of year and ideal. Enjoyed some great sights and wildlife too including a Mink who let us get close enough for a half-decent pic.
John was great - very helpful, friendly and accommodating, explained everything clearly and clearly loves what he does.
The kayak came with hide-away storage space, and the equipment was in great shape too, including life jackets, several dry-bags, plus map of the routes.
Planned to spend an hour here, ended up spending 4 and loved every minute of it.
Would highly recommend this company, and this route.

A great day out paddling peaceful stretches and sliding back down the chutes. Wonderful friendly service and easy to organise. Just crack on and book it before they fill up!

Everything for the kayak hire was prepared to the highest standard possible. From receiving info guides before, to arriving at the launch point and being presented with all the necessary kit to keep us safe & belongings dry. The briefing was quick and simple, so even if it’s the first time kayaking, John & Karen will make sure you know how to safely enjoy your day on the water.

The custom service we have received was more than excellent! We felt so welcomed, there was no rushing around, we had great chat with Karen after our trip.

We will definitely return again and will highly recommend!

Having taken out a single kayak last week, today my husband came along too and we tried a tandem kayak. He'd never been in a kayak before, or showed any interest, and to be honest he's got 2 left feet and I was sure we were in for a soaking 😂 BUT we had a fab day on the river, starting with some excellent confidence-building tips and advice from John and Karen. The kayak felt strong and stable and easy to manoeuvre and we were able to travel further than we thought possible! We even came down 4 Canoe Slides! So I'd recommend the experience to anyone 😃

My son and I had a fantastic time on the river albeit his arms tired near the end. We both loved the canoe passes and got extremely soaked on Sluice Weir Lock. The equipment provided was exceptional and John and Karen absolutely brilliant, the nicest people your ever meet.
Highly recommend and will definitely be back for another go.

We had a fantastic day! Really enjoyable activity kids to adult all age. if you want to take photos, bring serious waterproof case that you can secure around neck or somewhere, beautiful nature but could not take photo when I was on the boat, everything was in the sealed case on the boat, once you start you cannot access to it while you are moving.
if you go to the slide (you can avoid if you don't want to)you get totally wet! you can go easy or crazy, its your choice! It was great fun!

We can only recommend boating with John and Karen. The communication was easy and very flexible, the boats clean and well-kept, and instructions were excellent.
The River Medway is a really nice natural river with an easy flow. The rapids are fun and safe! There is a nice walking path following the river much or all of the way in case your family has to split up.

Amazing experience! We were first time kayakers and John & Karen did a fab job explaining everything and preparing us for what’s to come. They were encouraging and helpful and made sure we were confident and briefed before setting us off.

The price is very very reasonable for what you are getting. The kayaks are good quality; we received life vests and multiple different waterproof and floating containers to put our picnic and valuables in.

We spent about 5 1/2hrs in total going up and down the river and it was great fun. Hard work for sure, but totally worth it!

The only thing I’d suggest is to add something on the initial information in the clothing section about potentially having some sort of gloves on hand. Not being used to the paddling and combined with the wetness we both ended up with a few blisters between our thumbs and index fingers were the paddle sits and rubs. But that might totally just be our inexperience! And is absolutely no reflection on John & Karen, of course.
