Brilliant 2 days canoeing from Hoarwithy to Symonds Yat.
Well organised, friendly and good safety briefing. Weather was great so paddling down was pretty easy and unhurried amongst some fabulous scenery. Nice overnight stay at Ross.
Stopped at Inn on the Wye (Kerne Bridge), but it is a bit of a trek and they didn’t serve food or alcohol until midday.
Overall, would highly recommend Canoe the Wye.

Super friendly service. All the information you need, both when booking (including recommendations on places to stay) and on arrival at Symmonds Yat. We booked the two day trip, stasying overnight in Ross-on-Wye. Whether you are a complete beginner, or a more experienced canoeist, I thoroughly recommend Canoe the Wye.

This company were amazing and professional. Safety brief was so informative. The canoe experience was out of this world. I could have stayed on the river all day. They supplied all the equipment and life jackets etc. The carry on drum to keep your picnic and valuables in was a fantastic idea. Lots of places to pull off to the shore for a picnic and to take in all the wildlife. We found a cheeky squirrel, an adder and some fantastic wildfowl. Highly recommended and will definitely book again.

Absolutely fantastic two days canoeing.
Decided to do the 2 day trip, and from the minute we turned up to handing the canoe back all staff were really accommodating. At the end of day one I needed to catch a bus, they looked up not only which bus but which stand no and times of the buses. The trip itself was peaceful and relaxing with plenty of places to stop for lunch, lot of wildlife To be seen, and plenty of time to complete your trip. If you've never canoed there are smaller trips to get you going, so please go ahead and give it ago you will be pleasantly pleased and soon be booking the two day trip.

Tom and I went on a full day's canoeing package with Canoe the Wye back at the end of July 2022. I hadn't canoed properly in a couple years and it was his first time, and we couldn't have been happier with the service we received :) The check-in, breif and launch was informative yet swift, with a very handy map of the route with potential stop offs as well as trickier areas of the wye (they weren't that bad!) to keep in kind. We have already discussed returning to this company, as well as taking other family and friends here for a brilliant day out.

Me and my mate went canoeing for the first time ever back last summer (2021). Fantastic experience. Plenty of parking at the start point, friendly staff who are very knowledgeable. Did Kerne Bridge to Symonds Yat, stunning stretch of the Wye Valley, I have walked it many times but to be on the water is a totally different experience. Look forward to going again.

Ross-on-Wye to Symonds Yat full day hire. We have canoed the Wye with a different company before. But Canoe the Wye Ltd far exceeds in so many ways. The safety briefing was superb and fully covered paddle work, steering as well as expectations on handling the rapids. But don't fret, rapids are exciting, yet over in a few seconds. Mostly the river is beautifully flat and reflective like a mill pond. Kingfishers were spotted and one even politely posed so we could get closer - pure magic to see them fly. I'm not sure my evidence is anything to go by, but they always seem to be on the right bank. We stopped for lunch at the Inn on the Wye. (Please phone ahead and book a table.) Canoe needs to come up the steps and onto the grass, and you take your kit & barrel to walk along a narrow country path. We'll worth it just to hear others exciting tales and to break up a full day of gently meandering down the river. We will definitely be booking again next year. ❤️

What a great way to spend a day in the Wye Valley! Nick and the team got us all set up and ready to go with all the kit and a thorough brief before getting out onto the water. And once we were out, it was so peaceful and relaxing! I thoroughly recommended you try this, and try it with Nick at Canoe the Wye!
