We went to look at a car at Purbrook Car Sales which we found on Auto Trader. The attendant gave us the keys of the car we were interested in, and left us alone with the car for as long as we wanted. He went through all the documents he had for the car. He offered us a test drive on our own. We spent the best part of 2 hours there examining and test driving the car. The service was a perfect mix of helpful, and yet not in-your-face. There was no time pressure, and no pressure to buy. There is also a chippy next door, so if you're there a while you can get some nice hot food (which we did on this rather miserable day!). Thanks for the great service. So far no issues with the car!

Bought a car for my daughter from here. Got a good deal but after one week, the car wouldn't start and the battery was dead. She contacted the garage to be told that the battery wasn't covered with the warranty. As a young lady with 2 toddlers, I find this really poor service. I fail to believe that he didn't have a spare battery lying around. Not a good after sales service at all.

I purchased a car off of Pubrook car sales yesterday. The service we received was amazing - Rob was very helpful and left us alone with the car for as long as we needed. He allowed us to test drive the car & gave us all the information we needed. He was very organised and had all the documents we needed to see, he was very professional and wasn't pushy at all. Definitely recommend Purbrook Car Sales.

I bought a Mini Cooper S today from the guys at Purbrook car sales and the service I received was excellent. I was allowed as much time as I needed to look over the car, left alone to test the car and was made to feel comfortable at all times. I would highly recommend these guys to anyone after the service I received today.

I have two cars purchased from here and found the service very good. One car had to be returned for a repair, but that was done quickly and without fuss. Used cars are always risky, but this dealership is better than others I've dealt with before.

Bought a car with a faulty clutch. In hindsight he knew it was faulty, but funnily enough the warranty doesn't cover it. Avoid and go elsewhere. Also the door was changed prior to sale and I didn't realize the paint work was a different shade untill a week later. A good carsales man would not sell a car with a worn clutch. Avoid avoid avoid.

Stay well clear. I bought a vw passat from here. When i test drove the car it was in a good condition. After this i left the car with them for 5 days for an MOT. the 3 MOTs the car had previously all had the same advisory about a leaking brake caliper. This was never fixed but the mot they did had no advisory about it which was suspicious. When i picked the car up 5 days later after seeing it it felt completely different to drive but as this was my first car i was in a rush to buy it and drive it away. It turns out the turbo had been changed and was about to blow according to a genuine vw garage. I believe it was swapped from the owners car which was also vw passat. Other problems later occured such as: leaking shock absorbers, failing brakes including the leaking caliper, worn dual mass fly wheel, worn clutch which was slipping, worn wheel bearings, blown turbo which would of costed £1500 plus £500 labour, turbo intercooler hoses, and many other exspensive problems. Badically a death trap not fit to be on the road clearly.I bought the car with 121000 which was a low millage for its age of 14 years old and the car went into limp home mode and was scrapped 128500 miles in 6 months. The only good thing i can say is that they let you yest drive the car on your own, however the cars they buy and sell are unreliable and are not subject to regular maintenance. Total costs for repairs would of come to roughly £5500. Also the engine code was missing and when i had it checked by a mechanic he thought by tge conditon of the engine it looked over 200000 miles on it and it had loads of problems logged in the ecu

Excellent. I was very reluctant to buy from a car dealer but so far so good. A new MOT was put on the vehicle as promised (and this did not come cheaply - 3 new tyres for a 4x4). I was given a reasonable trade price for my old car. Service was excellent, car very clean. Only quibble was the car was on on empty on fuel when taken for a test drive. Would recommend Purbrook Car Sales to family and friends.
