I promised Pete a review, without being asked, because the experience was so good. The car was faultless, the sales process was not pushy and now six months later, the car is still not missing a beat and I'm still very happy with it.

Apologies for the lateness of posting this review. In September 2015 we purchased an Audi A4 with 75,000 miles on the clock. Shortly after purchase of the vehicle, the gearbox housing had started to wear away due to the half shafts rubbing violently against the gearbox casing. We asked my local mechanic who explained to me that that was extremely unusual wear for the mileage, but Pete Smith's dealership felt that it was still wear and therefore would not cover the cost of a replacement gearbox. The dealership were immensely rude on the phone both to myself and my father, and whilst I have owned many vehicles since (Audi's, BMW's and Mercedes from brand new) this experience still haunts me seven years on. This has actually culminated in enquires as to whether it's too late to engage in civil action against the dealership. As you'd imagine, due to the fact the vehicle involved has long since been sold after repairing it, evidence to provide to a county court has been limited. I will keep exploring further options to protect customers from this kind of abuse.

From start to finish using Pete Smith in Coleford has been such a wonderful experience.
Originally, I was just looking online at what was on offer whilst I continued to build my credit score. Using their online form that wouldn't impact my credit rating I could see a finance offer with around the right percentage of interest and ticked my boxes. I registered a query on the Friday night and by Saturday morning Pete had rang me to give me some more information on the finance agreement and answered any questions I had about the car. At no point during this process did I feel like I was being pushed into a purchase or sold to... simply pointed in the right directions and given any information I needed.

Turning up to collect the car was just as smooth. Pete had a number of COVID restrictions in place which the company was adhering to. We sorted the paper work and before I knew it, I was the owner of this beautiful car!

Ontop of everything, this was the first automatic I had bought. I was nervous having never driven one but Pete was understanding and slowly explained how to stop, start and reverse an automatic.

I'm so happy this car came along and that it was from this garage. It was a joy to meet Pete and support his business. I will definitely look what he has on offer when it's time to upgrade. Thank you to Pete Smith for one of the most pleasant purchasing experiences I've had!
