Great Central Vauxhall

This was my first time buying a car via distant sale (remotely) as when I found the perfect 1.6t Astra I wanted on AutoTrader, I was also in the process of travelling for work (but needed a car so couldn't wait).

Having contacted the dealer about the car, James Hammond helped answer questions, send me videos of the car, go through all my questions/concerns with patience (I had a lot of questions being the first time buying a car having not actually been to see it first...).

On delivery of the car, it was immediately clear that James had been very transparent with everything he'd told me and, whilst there were a couple of concerns I had around the car, those concerns had been addressed/dealt with and wouldn't be problems.

It's true that buying a used car via a dealer such as these may be a little pricier but in my case, it was absolutely worth it for the service and confidence this gave me.

Had the car a week now and couldn't be happier. Whilst I don't live nearby so had never physically met James to thank him in person, the next time I want a new car/upgrade I may have to give him a call anyway! :)

I cannot recommend Great Central enough. The staff ( in particular Georgie and Dan) really went the extra mile to help me sell a vehicle. Definitely coming back to buy a new van soon. Thanks for being amazing. Jo

John was fantastic in fitting in a same day appointment when we called mid day. Was very friendly, and the whole premises was clean and tidy.

Be very aware that this garage will charge you an £89 admin fee on used cars do yourself a favour and dont pa y it!!iy
But if you really want the car tell them immediatey that you will not pay the admin fee !!! and get them to agree this before you bother going to the dealership

Highly recommend! LEWIS went above and beyond to make everything go smoothly! Car was delivered on time. This was the fastest and easiest car purchase I have ever experienced.

Use this place for my zafira. Always friendly helpful staff. Do a good job, keeping me up to date as they go along and checking with me 1st before doing any extra work. Plus they always give my car a quick clean inside and out 😁 Never feel like they're ripping me off with alleged extra work needing done. Xx

Purchased a car, failed its mot the next day. Phoned 4 days later to be told I could pick the car up on the agreed date. Phoned the next day to be the true story that it had failed and they were still waiting on a part. Was told it would be another 3 days. On the third day, poor communication and again no updates. Eventually asked for a refund to be told they would do it at some point that day. Avoid
Apparently, if you read their reply, it was a faulty sensor. Didn’t realise it took 8 days to replace one faulty sensor.

Truly appalling. Car was there for over 7 weeks awaiting a part replacement, zero communication, had to complain to Head Office. No apology, no reduction in cost and no customer service......you have been warned. Will never use them again.
