There are far too many incidents to mention in full but purchased a car in January 2022. Full engine rebuild needed, as a good will gesture we allowed this to happen by the dealer and now less than 2 months later it is still faulty. Major oil consumption, and burning. Repairs not satisfactory. Many other issues and breakdowns including snapped coil spring, radiator overheating. Dealer has no understanding of the consumer rights act of 2015 and unfortunately we are now faced with no option other than going to a solicitor.
Do not make the same mistake.
Do not buy from this dealer !!
I bought a car from here with the intention of the car not needing to last beyond 6 months.
I had a budget, like most people, went in and got the only car I could afford. I drove a 04 Citroen C3 off on the same day.
Only thing I can say is that some things could have been done better in hindsight by both me and possibly the garage, however, the car passed it's MOT no problems a few months later.
Only issue I have really had here is I never got the V5C within 6 weeks however I had the green slip, so sent this off so the logbook should be with me before Feb 2023.
Only things I really had to do - replace the water for anti-freeze in the engine. A few minor things. I did take the car to another garage for this and the mechanic there told me 95% of the things he had to fix were super typical of 18 year old French automatic cars. Gearbox is due to go and I think I'll get half the value I paid if I sell or scrap - as expected of second hand cars.
No real negative thing here to say other than the price could always be a little lower - as I saw the same car and mileage for sale at around £600 less. Alas, that's on me as a buyer but definitely could have priced it a bit fairer. Still, £2000 for an automatic car during the crisis we are in isn't the worst!
I wouldn't say don't use them but I would say that if it's your first car or you're not as keyed up, this might be an option for a few years down when you need to be more car savvy with second hand cars etc. The guys here are nice and you're better off coming in person to talk to them than email or call, etc as it is a garage/car lot and is does get busy/noisy here.
Also when i first washed the car i noticed a lot of scratches on driver’s door which must have been covered with nail varnish or an other sort of temporary paint that came off when washed.
I will never go back to this dealer, he can not be trusted.
