Took my vehicle in for an inspection, on the phone booking I was told the likely problem which I found strange but left with the garage for the day, on collection the vehicle hadn't been moved or inspected as the ties on the lower cover hadn't been cut or changed, was quoted £500+ for a repair but told they wouldn't be able to do the work. I took the vehicle to another garage who instantly identified the issue as a faulty pipe £30 later all fixed.

Poor service unlike other branches unfortunately not real mechanics and I would avoid this branch at all costs.

On Sunday I booked a Tuesday, 11:30am appointment to have 2 tyres fitted. When I arrived I was told that the tyres were not in stock but they might be delivered to the fitting centre later that day or, if not, could be the following day. This isn't good enough. If I make an appointment and arrange time off work to get there I expect some effort from the business to meet their commitment. If there's a problem then the least I expect is a message to let me know that the work will have to be rescheduled. Instead I wasted my own time and expense travelling to find out the bad news in person. Surely you make sure you have all the parts required to do the work scheduled for the following day? Not impressed.

Not good. I took the car in for a quote for two tyre replacement. They booked it in. I arrived to drop car off. Left for an hour have been towed about twenty minutes per car and that they would call when done. They didn’t call. I returned and tyres still off and to be told they had been sent the wrong tyres. Waited another twenty minutes for my original tyres to be put back on. I was advised they may be able to get my tyres in that afternoon. I then heard them call to see if available. This had not been done until this point! I was then advised to come back later that day.

I returned and left car for an hour to return and find new tyres still not finished. Waited again for trues to be finished.

Advised key in car. Returned to car - key not in car - was caught up in the plastic protector sheet used and had been removed from car and presumably almost thrown away.

Had not noticed until a week later that wheel nut locking key was missing. Called centre advised to bring in for them to replace all nuts. Arrive to find out this is not possible for my car and need to go to my dealer for replacement. Halfords would refund but again I have to go to another city personally to source a replacement.

Nightmare of experience. I don’t have limitless time to waste. Won’t be re using.

Took my car in for an MOT earlier this month and was very disappointed at the way my car was treated. My car was driven around extremely quickly, recklessly, and with a total lack of respect. Further, they bumped my car around the garage and sped around the car park at high speeds whilst I was sat there watching!

Additionally, the work completed was not to a high enough standard such that I had to get the "work" they had completed repaired at another garage.

They left parts of my car unattached, bolts missing, and windscreen wipers misaligned due to their lack of putting my engine bay trim back together again correctly.

They had my car for two days and I was left very irritated.

Do not use this garage, your car will be worse off!

Bad system, bad customer service, absolute waste of my time.

Booked MOT 20 days in advance, showed up for appointment, said Class 7 ramp was broken, no prior phone call, warning or anything regarding it the day of or days before and just recommended to try Gloucester instead.

Had to call around so many other places as not many Class 7 places in Cheltenham.

Unhappy is an understatement when you’ve booked in advance and it’s cancelled with no warning and you’ve had to drive to the garage to find out - good thing I had given time before it runs out otherwise I’d be screwed.

Took a "slow puncture" in for checking. Was told after inspection that nothing could be found and instead, they could order in some parts (valve, pressure sensor). As the car is under warranty I declined. But air still slowly leaking so I took the car to ATS in Cirencester today who, in 20 minutes, found the 1/2" screw embedded in the tire, removed it, plugged and repaired the hole and wouldn't let me pay. How Halford's missed it is incomprehensible.

I took my honda for mot and it failed on both front control arms which was disappointing as the car was only serviced 2 weeks prior. I took the car to be repaired and the mechanic said that only the ball joints really needed to be replaced as the arms themselves were in very good condition. These arms were very expensive and didn't need replacing in their entirety. I explained this to the receptionist at halfords and she replied bluntly well that's our opinion. Surly, there is protocol to be followed. As I feel I needlessly paid hundreds of pounds on these arms when the ball joints would have sufficed according to the honda dealership.

Spoke to someone Thursday evening who said they could fit some new headlights for my car, he said he would order them ready for the next day. Arrived and the guy tried but said they would have to take off bumper of car to fit these, and to come back Sunday. Sunday arrived the guy on reception didn't know anything about this. Left car and keys & was told they would ring me when ready. An hour later get a phone call to say they couldn't do it, and they didn't have lights. Described to the guy the conversations already had and he then came back to say they could but would charge £90 for a further 1.5 hours worth of service. Took car elsewhere. Poor communication between the colleagues. Along with many wasted hours being told false information
