Great Service. I had free brake check, then booked me in 2 days later to have all the repairs/replacements done. Very pleased.

Went in for MOT and came back with deep scrapes under passenger side with yellow paint in them. Lost no claims discount as they did not own up when I went through insurance to get it repaired.
Friend went for flat tyre and they failed to pump up the tyre safely so she had to turn around on A12 and come back.
Very disappointed that there are still people like this around.

Booked car in for diagnostic check and given no report but told verbally I had a turbo over boost issue. Halfords of no help at all and doubt whether the check was carried out. Took car to verified servicing facility instead that properly diagnosed fault and provided report with video link. Diagnostic check from Halfords at £49.99 complete waste of money.

Very impressed with the service that I received today (24/10/2022). The staff were very friendly and helpful with all concerns about my car resolved to my complete satisfaction by them. Thank you. Your care and service were greatly appreciated. Will definitely be back and would highly recommend.

Well I regret using this garage for my interim service.
Dropped my car off Saturday morning and was not completed (due to their own mistake) until Sunday late afternoon before they closed.
When dropping the car off for the service I felt welcomed and positive, however this soon changed. Was called up to say that my car had a oil leak when checking the car and needed a whole new sump plug, pan etc which they said "You will need to pay us £274 to have this repaired before you take your car away" so my question was how did you get to this fault... Turns out they created this fault by doing up the sump plug too tight / cross threaded and tried to blame the fault elsewhere when there has been no oil leak before I took the car in and no major drop in oil level.
I may be a young women and you've clearly thought you could get me to spend more to help your commission but luckily I have family that's been in the industry and knew more than you thought. Finally picked up my car and they did a "quick fix" so I could get my car back and now having to take it to someone that actually knows what they are doing to fix their issues, which they wouldn't do themselves. Was given many advisories even though my MOT passed with none but soon as i said i will get these done elsewhere, the tone of voice change from the gentleman and not all these advisories were on the end report they printed for me... mmm funny that! Shocked completely thinking that how well known halfords are, they would be more reliable but think NOT.

Went to this Halfords a few times before and recently got my MOT done on 25th October 2022, They were so helpful and so welcoming, Cait at the front always help you understand what’s happening with your car and the testers/ mechanics are very nice here too, they even showed me what was wrong with my car and when it would need fixing.
They are definitely not like most mechanics when they see women,
This Halfords actually care about you and your safety.

Friendly staff, we nerded out over Judge Dredd. Free coffee, comfortable chairs, clean waiting area. Mechanics know their stuff. In and out in about an hour. Cashless operating system, card only.

Waited 20 mins in a que to hear a Halfords guy talking with a customer demonstrating he had very little understanding of car mechanics. Yet he is working in a Halfords service centre. When I got to the front of the que I was told they were unable to help with my cars dead battery and that I should book an apointment. Not at all helpful or from what I heard knowledgable ! Take your car to a real garage 👍
