A very large thank-you to Mr Rob Rudd who not only picked up the phone at around 7pm on New years Eve when I discovered my MOT had expired. He then agreed to carry out an MOT on new years day with no extra charge, to enable me to return home the next day.

Firstly i don't write reviews....

But feel Rob and Kerry need a mention here, Kerry is always friendly and accommodating.

Rob is knowlegable and honest about how to sensibly keep my old 20 year old BMW on the road.

I am particular about my cars, but Rob is always there to reign me in a little bit, when i get carried away trying to make it drive like new again, which is reassuring, and in today's age, where do you find that in a mechanic.

Repairs are spot on, to high standard and sensibly priced.

What more can you ask for.

My advice to you, is stay away from the dealer network (i worked in it for 10 years)

And go and see Rob and Kerry.

You'll wonder why you didn't do it sooner.

Have used this garage for the first time today to diagnose a fault and carry out a full service. I thought the fault was rear brake pads and discs. Rob discovered that they were fine. The fault was something small and they fixed it free of charge. Some garages would have replaced the pads and discs and I would not have questioned it. After the service my car also drives great and the price was very reasonable. All in all a great experience that restores your faith in people willing to just do an honest job well.

Just the facts: diagnosed my car as faulty ABS wheel sensor. Quoted £268 to replace saying the sensor is integrated with the wheel hub. Something didn’t feel right so I phoned main dealer and got the wheel sensor for £25, fitted it in my drive in less than an hour. Fault not rectified. Now properly diagnosed as brake switch.

Great service, friendly staff with discounts for military personnel. Car was fixed and MOT'd promptly. Rob who has years of experience with cars of all makes and models, would recommend all and any car repairs.

Driving to work I got a Screw in my tyre, called this garage on a recommendation from someone at work. Luckily both front tyres had been recommended to be replaced at the MOT.
They sourced two tyres, fitted and even offered to drop it back to me at work on the same day.
The price was also over £100 cheaper that I had previously been paying at other garages.
All in all a great professional service from start to finish and will definitely be using them again in future.

Speaking from personal experience Astonfields Motor services is by far the best in Stafford when it comes to price and the quality of work they provide. I bought a second hand Volvo S70 (2007) from a dodgy dealership last year, expired MOT , faulty handbrake, faulty engine, brake pads just to name a few faults from the many faults the car had which would have costs me more had I gone to other garage. However, I did went to ‘Mend My Car’ a local garage in Stafford prior to coming here they were charging me over £1500 for the job. I obviously declined and took my Volvo to Astonfields Motor services they did the whole repair on the car plus MOT and only charge me approx £300. The place is run by Rob who also run Thrifty next door , he was very helpful and knows his job really well. No push sell or beat around he bush talk he just gets straight to business and tells you exactly what needs to be done without all the unnecessary commentary. Top man! Highly recommend this place to anyone out there.

After taking my car to several garages they couldn't find out why my turbo wasn't working. After a few tests the guys here knew what it was and fixed it for me for a reasonable price, so happy it's working again after a long time, Highly reccomend this garage.
