Can’t do the service the car was booked for:
Twice now, you have been unable to undertake the service a car was booked for. No call or contact before dropping off the car to cancel the booking, let alone accepting the booking, knowing full well you don’t have the expertise to do it. Very disappointing in all aspects of service provision.

This garage is a joke! I’ve had two new tyres fitted which were not balanced properly. Went back and I was asked to come back, and booked 12 noon. When I went there I was told they made a mistake and were expecting me early in the morning even though I had a confirmation email. By now 3 visits and the guy kept arguing with me 30 minutes and did not complete the work. He could have have the job twice by now. He sent me away to come back next week all the while knowing it wasn’t safe to drive my car. Booked 4th visit and finally got the tyres balanced properly after waiting 2.5 hours and the job only took 15 minutes. 4 visits for tyre change, and so much time wasted. People in this garage are unbelievably incompetent, ignorant. AVOID if you value your safety and time.

I went for an MOT. My MOT appointment was at 9:00 am and was asked to be there 10 mins before the appointment and I did arrive at 8:45 am. Staffs were pretty much robotic, no greetings, no extra smiles, I dropped the key went outside and then within minutes I enterened the shop again - but the lady at the counter didn't even recognise me, so I had to explain that I just a minute back dropped my key for the MOT. I was given a start of the job at 9:24 am. So I already have a wait time of ~40 mins given that I arrived at 8:45. Now, there came someone else who had an appointment at 10:10 am but he was given a "job start" time at 11:54 am. This was scary. Nowhere in the online booking form it was written that the appointment time is different than the "job start" time. If it had happened to me I would have been in serious trouble because all my planning would have been upside down. So double check with them if you understand your appointment time properly and plan accordingly. I finally got the keys back at about 10:30 am. No one came and explained anything in the MOT report, the lady when handed over the key didn't mention bother to mention there will be report sent out over email; no other courtesy, no smile, no thank you at all, no interaction.

I Booked my car in for an MOT at 8.30am. Check in was efficient and staff polite as always. They called me saying the car had failed the MOT as it needed just A NEW TYRE. I asked them could they do it today as the car was already with them. They informed me that they Are not taking on any new Work until OCTOBER due to Staffing Issues. They advised me to collect my car, have a tyre fitted elsewhere then go back to Halfords within 10 days for a Free Retest. I challenged this as it is only 1 Tyre but they said NO, Even when i turned up to collect my car I asked again and got the same response, even though they could see I was on crutches as I have mobility Issues. The man said we are short staffed & i'm just filling in today to help out. Absolutely Appalled by their lack of customer service and no consideration given to me due to my ongoing mobility issues.
Currently been on hold to Halfords Head Office for 32 Minutes

Went at Halfords for my car MOT and it failed on low beams being to low. From my past experience this is the only thing the garage should be able to adjust at the time of MOT. This was not done and a fail was recorded. I went to 4 different garages after and all the mechanics ask me the same thing why was this not done by Halfords at the time of mot? They all agreed this should have been done and they said they all are doing this if a car is in there garage. I need to spend more money and time for me to do a thing that should have been done at the time. I will never be using halfords for my cars MOTs anymore. They do not care about the customer at all. Just bad service, they just wanted me to spend more money at their parts shop to replace the bulbs that are working, but they would not adjust the lights at all. Bad bad bad

Despite a nightmare using the Halfords website / online booking etc, I contacted Halfords Autocentre directly as I urgently needed two tyres replaced on a car I'd just purchased for my son. I spoke with Christine at reception and she was excellent, personable, understanding and very helpful as was her colleague Phillip. All sorted now, I had 4 new tyres fitted for a great price, have now booked the car in for Brake Discs & pads next week. Great to get proper customer service. I'll be using Halfords Autocentre Borehamwood for everything going forwards. Thank you Christine and Phillip for your first class help and assistance, it's really been appreciated.

I took my car to this place for my annual MOT and service. My first time using them. I had NEVER had any problems with my car in all of the years that I have had it. Collected my car and broke down twice on the way home after the car started juddering badly. Then broke down once more outside my property. To date the vehicle is still not driving properly. They only get a star as one of the Managers came straight out to help me and try to sort this issue out.

Very poor of customer servicing.
Waited 2 hours on the phone and send friend get in touch with the reception desk.
Rearrange booking without informing the clients and when arrive there are no parts even if we come for second visit.
Usually, on second visit the service centre should have everything ready to carry on servicing.

Very poor.
I feel these guys don’t won’t to work.

I’ve heard similar story from another client.
