Halfords Autocentre Newport

First time taking my car here & to any Halfords Autocentre. I was extremely impressed. My car went on Saturday for service & MOT. All done efficiently same day. David Harries the Manager & mechanic on shift were friendly, knowledgeable and professional, especially when explaining technical things. Great value for money- price as per online. Plus the work on disc breaks / pads was checked with me by David before proceeding. The free fuel service was a superb extra too. Really impressed and will return my car here no hesitation!!

Booked the car in for tyres fitted and received excellent, professional service. The manager was very helpful and polite. Also advised me on other issues that might come up in the future without being pushy. The quoted cost was very reasonable without hidden charges and the online payment was easy and straightforward. Will definitely come back again if the car needs servicing.

I rarely write an entirely positive review but this place was very good in so many respects. They were easy to book with, accommodated a last minute change, were polite and courteous. Particularly, they didn’t treat me like “ a woman”. I felt I was spoken to like any other male customer, which is so rare when dealing with garages usually. Excellent price ( a third of the Mercedes garage price !!!) and very efficient. Kept me informed by phone. Recommended a new tyre but directed me to their comparison website rather than bouncing me into a quick decision. Overall very impressed. Clearly Halfords do excellent staff training! Will use again definitely. Would recommend for women who hate having to take their car to the garage particularly. This will be a better experience I’m sure.

Booked my car in for its MOT, easy booking online. Dropped my car off half an hour before the due time, which was no problem. Had an email and following up call to say it was ready for collection. Can't fault the service, very professional staff even in these trying times. Many thanks to Dave and the other mechanics.

Had my MOT done at an excellent price with quick booking and turnaround. Staff/manager were friendly and informative and the communication by phone was excellent. Wouldn’t hesitate in recommending!

If I have one complaint it would be the price. The same thing is £40 cheaper in Kwik Fit, but I can't complain about the staff and the work carried out.
