Gwent MOT Station

Very friendly helpful professional team at gwent m.o.ts. I was very happy with the work that took place on my car. Gareth who did the work explained everything to me so i understood exactly what the issues were. Nathan the owner was also very helpful and welcoming. I will deffinitly be using this garage from now on and would deffinitly recommend them to anyone looking for a decent reliable garage

Turned up for prebooked appointment for first year service.
Booked in for 9am, garage was closed, due to covid was guessing they'd shut. Waited until 9.15 when someone finally bothered to turned up.they couldn't be bothered talking, just gestured from in their vehicle, that I guessed meant that I shouldn't be parked in the MOT bay. I then had to park out on the road opposite. By the time it got to handing over the keys the guy asked how I was getting home. My reply, 'the service was booked with courtesy car', I showed them the insurance and license code I was asked to bring and email/text as evidence.
I was then told, we haven't got any courtesy cars available. So then had to drive my car 20 miles back home, and rebooked the service elsewhere.
Wasted a day off work and a40 mile round trip (fuel) which achieved nothing.
I couldn't give a zero.

A few ideas.

Prompt service, be at garage and open before customers arrive.
Let people know they are only allowed to park on road and not in MOT bays.
Let people travelling 30 miles to get there that no courtesy car will be available even if you have prebooked a month in advance.

The guys were polite I'll give them that.

But other than that what a bad experience, I'm sad to say it's the 1st and the last time I'll be using them.

Turns out they like to give a courtesy car that's beaten up and has bald tyres

I’ve recently put my car in for work that needed to be done ASAP because the car failed two days before that I was due to go on holidays with my family. The car was turned around within a day and I was back on the road. McKenzie at the garage is a top bloke and was very understanding with my problem. Least I can say top customer service.

Amazing and affordable service. Took my car (Peugeot 206) to have the bearing replaced, as the wheel was shaking. The mechanic did a great job and gave me confidence in returning for more work on my car. The mechanic was also able to answer any questions I had, with confidence, and also showed myself step by step, what was happening. Thank you.

I've been taking my car and my wife's here for MOTs for a few years and it's always a good experience. Courteous and friendly staff.

Mini clubman cooper S timing chain replacement ordered through clickmechanic.
Both mobile fitters were very polite and did a great job.

Communication and service excellent!
Dropped my car off for 11am appointment, had an update phone call by 12.30 with a description of work required. Authorisation given for the work to be done with an estimation given for costing.
Another phone call no later than 4pm for car to be picked up. MOT certificate ready and no nasty addional costs added.
Would deffo recommend 👍🏻
