Staff in here are very friendly and availability of vehicles has been good. One of the more affordable hires locally.

Online booking process is pants. You go to book and it asks you to call, so it's totally pointless. When you do call, often the phone rings out or they pick up and say they are too busy. Unsurprising given the website pushes all traffic through to the phone and not the fault of staff.

I've hired twice in the last 2 months. On both occasions the collection process has been slow. It takes at least 20-30 mins from sitting down with a staff member to driving away. On my last visit, I had booked a car for 09:30 and arrived at 09:20. There were 3 people in front of me and I didn't leave until 10:45 as there was only one staff member working. Again, not that staff members fault, but very inconvenient for me.

I had a business meeting at 11:30 an hour and a half away and was very late. This was therefore totally no good. A shame, because staff are good and they are one of the better situated and priced hire companies in Fareham.

A very smooth and easy process to rent a van.
Staff there are really helpful, understanding and friendly.
I have used SSD 5 times in the past few years...and have always had a good experience.

Good rate of hire, swift vehicle hand over process at the beginning and end of hire. Van I was given was virtually new with only 10K miles on the clock. No problems.

I have hired two vans in the past year from the Fareham SSD team and the service has been faultless. Great vehicles, brilliant service and reasonably priced. Many thanks to Donna and the team for the efficiency & professionalism provided over the past couple of days when I hired a van to help move son move house - I could not have been better supported - great piece of mind when you have lots of balls in the air! I highly recommend this company and the commend the Fareham team.

Genuinely cannot articulate how good they have been. Moved house a couple of days ago (first time doing so, which included various learning curves) and they could not have been more flexible and accommodating. We got the timings wrong for pickup and had to book the van a day earlier - no worries, they shuffled the slot. After looking at how much stuff we had, I realised I booked a van that was too small for our move; 40 mins before collecting, I asked to upgrade - they sorted it - no problem. Move took longer than we anticipated and went passed the return time; they were understanding and helped us out. OUTSTANDING customer service and I sincerely thank you all for helping us in this stressful time. You have honestly been amazing! Can’t recommend highly enough. (I’m sorry for being the customer from hell but you made our move so much easier for being so understanding). THANK YOU!

Great service from the team at SSD. Very friendly and helpful. Swift processing. No pressure to take insurance but clearly explained the implications of not doing so. Would recommend.
