Europcar Fareham

Absolutely disgraceful service. They cancelled our 7 seater car hire booking 3 hours before we were due to collect. They charged me 14 days before cancelling and we heard nothing until they emailed, not even phoned, telling us that they can't help us.
Would not recommend. Walking would be better.

I hired a car from here following a non-fault car accident. The staff were extremely kind, helpful and showed a lot of patience as I dealt with my insurance company. The car was lovely and clean and I couldn’t fault the service I received.

First time I have rented and it went really well. Thank you, all concerned

Staff were very friendly, car was ready at pick up and no issues with drop off either, would use Europcar Fareham again 100%

AVOID AVOID AVOID

Be careful using this company. They took a holding fee from me for fuel, I was then told that the vehicle would be collected between 8-9am Saturday morning and that if no one was to arrive to collect it then it would be collected first thing Monday morning. The key was left outside for them as agreed with European, however when the vehicle was due to be collected 8-9am Saturday morning no one arrived, so instead of leaving the key outside for them for the duration of the Saturday and Sunday I took it back inside until early Monday morning ready to be collected.

They then charged me for a missed collection fee? It was not me that missed the collection appointment but themselves. They also made no attempt to call me to say they were outside and couldn’t find the key.

The company are unorganised and have zero care in my situation. The lady on the phone when I had to explain all this spoke terrible English and I had to relay the information around 4 times to enable her to understand me when trying to process the refund.

They then told me that the repair company who were fixing my vehicle at the time gave my consent to collect the vehicle? This is also a lie!

Overall experience I would of given 0 stars but I had to give 1

Great service however the site is in the middle of nowhere! Had to get a taxi there as no public transport goes anywhere near this place. There is an option for them to deliver/collect your hire vehicle but they charge £15 each way! Maybe this charge could be reduced/wavered just because of its remote location. I mean, if you need a hire car you probably haven't got a car to get there in in the first place! Whoever dreamed up of putting a hire car business in this location wants firing!
