Budget Car Hire - Exeter Airport

Picked a car up from here on 20th May. Keith and John in office were very friendly and helpful, but they suggested we have a Fiat 500X instead of what we had booked, suggesting it would be more than big enough and the seats were a little higher so easier for me to transfer from my chair. There was a lot of organizing because of getting it nearer to the office for me as it was raining. We got to the car and yes the higher seat was helpful, but the fact that we couldn't get my wheelchair in the boot wasn't. Poor hubby got soaked trying to fit in our 1 case and the taken to pieces wheelchair. I do wish people who have no experience with wheelchairs would stop assuming that they know better than those of us who have been using them for over 20yrs. I know they are trying go help but it doesn't.

Complete bunch of gangsters. Numerous fees not discussed and conveniently hidden within huge rental contract document. All amounts given as pre-VAT yet this is of course not mentioned by any of the employees.

£160 for two days rental of small car. Recommend you pay more for Hertz it’ll save you in the long run.

Got charged twice for car still not sorted it out despite promising it will be back in my bank everyday

Absolutely shocking customer service.. first of all the first car broke down and they tried to charge me £65 for fuel.. then I tried to extend the car rental for three days, Centre reservation wanted to charge me £70 and London Victoria but was unable to make card payments so I was told to go to Exeter but they wanted to charge me £300.. was told there is nothing they could do I was on able to drive the car back to London due to having food poisoning. So they charge me £50 to return the car to Exeter Airport. And now I’m stranded Exeter airport with food poisoning..

Also I had phoned them over 50 time on Sunday and Monday and only managed to speak to them twice. When I turned up to the Exeter airport branch they were all out the back having a good old laugh and giggle no wonder they don’t answer the phones.

I will never use again and I would advise anyone else to do the same..

Great service but parking is problematic.
