Drivalia Car Hire Gatwick Airport

Great customer service by the staff, very calm and helpful. Lovely little car, ideal position to collect the car straight out of the airport and you are there.
The only downside is I paid more for the insurance protection than the actual rental, this would be more helpful if they told you this when booking, be it through an agent or directly. I booked through an agent who said it would be around £6 per day which I agreed I wanted but when I got to the rental desk it turned out to be £35 per day…..Massive difference! Having previously worked in this industry I know how much the rental company is making on this!!!!

I don’t know how much easier it could have been. From arrival to paperwork to the ease of getting the car. The staff was super friendly and explained everything in detail. I suggest getting full coverage insurance. You can just walk away should you rub a curb or get in an accident. It really wasn’t that much more for peace of mind. Will continue to use when we return. Thank you for a stress free experience.

Delayed flight meant I could not arrive in time by Easirent: I dropped an email to inform them but the morning after I was told the car was not available because of the no-show.
I was conveniently offered a different car for an additional fee of 40GBP which I could not refuse, being in a hurry.
Despite confirming via email that a card was not required once you book a car via the most expensive package, I was asked a card nonetheless.

This was an excellent experience, both collecting and returning. All staff were very pleasant and attentive. Short internal walk from Domestic Arrivals, N terminal. Office located in hotel complex, separate from other rental firms. Car immediately outside the office, opposite Departures drop-off. Best map ever, to guide us back when returning the car! Car was freshly washed and valeted. Great service all round.

Great experience with Easirent!

the pick-up was a breeze, as I had already uploaded all the required documents etc. to the online portal. The kiosk is a bit out of the way round the side of the grand plaza, but not too difficult to find. Actual collection of the car only took about 5 min. Staff were friendly and helpful throughout, and clearly explained terms of rental etc. The cost of the CDW reduction insurance they offer is a bit hefty... but it is optional and similar to what's charged by the big names, so I won't hold it against them (just make sure to buy it from a 3rd party before you arrive)!

The car it's self was awesome! Offering a brand new Fiesta-ST with all the toys on the second cheapest category is just nuts! Was great fun to drive, and made a very long journey much more enjoyable.

Returning the vehicle was similarly easy, did a walkaround to confirm there was no additional damage, then signed the paperwork and was out of there.

Definitely wouldn't hesitate to use them again!

Pickup at airport was fast. We paid a 30pounds extra for an automatic upgrade + full coverage (double our rental price). It was dark when we took the car, saw the next morning the state of it... Error message about the lights and electronic during all our rental (6 days). For drop-off, we cald 30min before arrival in order to arrange a shuttle to the airport. We've been told that the next one was leaving in 20min and the following 45min later. So we rushed to arrive in 11min and to arrive and be told the shuttle left... Only solution was waiting 45min or paying for a cab... We ended up catching a local bus...

Overall happy with Drivalia. When we arrived to collect the vehicle the office was closed and they had a note on the door to call - not a great start after getting in from a flight and just wanting to get on the road but once we rang them they sent someone along to process our booking and show us to the car etc. Car was as advertised and the staff - once they arrived - were friendly and helpful. They would have got 5 stars if the office had been manned when we arrived. Will use them again the pricing, additional insurance and other T&C´s are transparent and fair.

Nice and easy pick-up. Great car, great price. Only issue was that on the web site they asked for a utility bill or bank statement less than 3 months old and proof of ongoing travel (which I took) and they didn't need them, so I had already checked in for my next flight a week later and I hadn't needed to.
