Thrifty Car and Van Rental Aylesbury

Amazing service. I was late by almost one hour and they did not charge me extra. In fact kept the office open after office hours (until 18:10) so that I don't get charged for an additional day. Thrifty is the best car hire in Aylesbury

Hired a van for 24hrs from Thrifty. Went in on Friday afternoon and paid up front on my debit card as expected. £555 including the deposit. All good.
Took the van back on Saturday morning, no further charges and the staff were very friendly and professional.
However, and it’s a big however. It is now Tuesday and I still haven’t received my £500 deposit via bank transfer.
I was expecting to hand over my bank card when I returned the van so my deposit could be given back. The member of staff explained that it would be given back “eventually” via bank transfer.

I’m sure Thrifty are making a tidy sum from the interest from all their customers money.

The staff were great, and couldn’t be more friendly or helpful. The van was almost brand new and was exactly what I needed. It’s a shame as I will not be using Thrifty again and I am busy telling all my friends and colleagues about my experience.

Enjoy the interest from my deposit, you won’t be getting it again!

Fantastic service from Thrifty. They understood my needs and budget criteria and provided a car that met both. The service I received from Alex and his team was excellent and nothing was too much trouble even when I needed to extend the car hire.

I received a great service from here twice in the last couple of moths. the vehicles were clean well maintained and damage free. The staff member i dealt with on both occasions ( Damian i think) was a really nice guy, explaining everything really well. the prices were the best around at the time i hired too.

Cannot fault the service I received from Thrifty in Aylesbury. Hired a small van to help with moving house, and was told on the morning that I had been upgraded to a large van at no extra charge. Friendly staff at collection and drop-off of the van, explained everything clearly. The van itself was great and very practical for our needs. The deposit was taken on the Tuesday (when I collected the van), dropped the van off on Wednesday morning and money was back in my bank account by Thursday afternoon. All things considered it was a very good experience with Thrifty and would definitely use them again. Impressive.

Maybe Aylesbury is really dodgy, but when I rent a car at Heathrow airport or Leeds airport, I turn up with my credit card and driving licence. At Thrifty Aylesbury everything apart from my DNA is required, from utility bills to proof of my bank which is scrutinised on my phone. And they don't take Amex. Cars and service are fine, just remember to take a folder full of proof of who you are.

Always good service. Price fluctuations let them down for me. I want a one stop shop and only price check every do often as I don't want to have to continuously shop around.
