Ace Turbo

Ordered a turbo for a Kia. Was encouraged to pay by bank transfer which I was reluctant to do but did. The turbo was shipped promptly and arrived next day. I was immediately suspicious of the packaging as the turbo was rattling around in the box. Anyway, I took the box over to the local garage where they opened it in their workshop. It was immediately obvious that the unit was seriously damaged and was not functional. I contacted Ace Turbos telling them that the unit had arrived damaged. They offered to pick it up and insisted I used the original, defective packaging. This I did. I was then contacted by email stating that I had dropped the unit and it was all my fault and that I and basically the local garage where lying They then offered to supply at a cost of £137 another unit. Since I had already paid £280 for effectively nothing I stated that I would not accept this. Interestingly the email stated that if I did accept their offer I would be accepting liability for damaged turbo. SO now they have a turbo I paid for (plus a gasket set) and will not send it back to me unless I send them the failed turbo off my car. Please be cautious when dealing with this company, particularly if you are remote, and do not use bank transfer as payment.

Absolutely awful company. If the products they ship work you'll likely be fine, but if as in our case, they send you a faulty product don't expect them to take any responsibility for it whatsoever.

They'll try to pin it on you, won't offer a refund and leave you with a lengthy court case as your only valid option. My advice is to stay well clear.

Very unprofessional, had a booking and for strong reasons i was unable to get there in time, i called them 1 hour in advance and told them i will be late, they cancelled my booking and said will never re book me again. 0 customer service. Would not recommend.

I used this company to have my DPF cleaned. They made the DPF worse with the process they use leaving metal fragments in the exhaust system. I took the car to Mercedes who confirmed they had damaged the DPF and it would need to be cleaned again. I spoke to the owner Paul who told me to bring the car down and they would fix the problem. When I came back he tried to blame Mercedes diagnostics and not take any responsibility, instead wanted me to pay for another clean. They clearly have no idea what they are doing and rip customers off. When you confront them they become rude and take no ownership of anything despite offering a 12 month warranty on their work. DO NOT USE this company. You will be left out of pocket and with your vehicle in worse condition then before. Their response to other customers below should give you an idea of how awful their customer service is.
