Thank you Leicester Wheel Specialist for a 1st class job.
Short version, if you care about your car and wheels and don't like wasting fuel on numerous return trips sorting issues, then do not use this company, they take very little care and can't seem to get even the basics right.
Read on if you like a saga....
Had 4 wheels refurbished here and had to return 4 times to get issues resolved and even at the end I'm not that happy with the final result, but just gave up trying!
The first return was because ALL 4 wheels were under powdered so you could seen the base metal through the finish. Owner said this should have been picked up during their "quality checks". They agreed to redo the whole process.
A week later upon collection the wheels did have a more even coating, but after getting them home i noticed one of them had a 4inch long scratch on the rim down to the base metal, presumably caused by refitting the tyre. Took it back to be told yet again, "sorry it should have been picked up during our quality checks". You can see the theme here!
They agreed to redo the wheel, but on collection of that, whilst the main scratch had gone, there were more new scratches and a chip around where the TPMS valve stem protrudes (photo below), presumably caused when removing/refitting it. I pointed this out to the owner and he said I was being picky! I guess because I should have just readily accepted having to return for a 3rd time to collect a wheel that now had scratches/chips on it that it didn't have before being refurbished? Let's just say we had words....
The saga doesn't end there though, on refitting this last wheel to the car I went the check the tyre pressure only to be met with a hissing sound every time I touched the valve, as the TPMS valve had been damaged during the last refurb. Presumably this should have been spotted during "quality checks" too, but we already know how well they are done!
So I took it back for them to replace where they put some more new scratches around the valve stem, but by this time I'd given up.....JUST AVOID
