Village Car Wash

Used to be a great car was but there has been some personnel changes and unfortunately it has rapidly declined.

I've been taking my cars there every month for several years and the last couple of times have been very poor. I asked for them to attend to my finished car again as there appeared to be a white film residue left on the bodywork. The "manager" was unhappy with my query and told me "you have to pay more, if you want your car cleaner". Quite shocked by his response I decided to challenge him and used one of my own cloths and wiped a part of the car clean in front of him to illustrate that there is a problem. He accused me of wasting his time and the car being old. I have a 09 cherish plate but the car is an 18 reg and is just a year old. When he looked at the car again he realised his mistake and started shouting at me and causing a scene. I left with my car no cleaner than when it went in as I was afraid his aggression may turn into violence.
I have told several of my friends about the incident and to my dismay they have experienced similar issues with Village Car Wash and all now go elsewhere. I also tested the dust residue left on my car and found this to have alkaline content which dulls the car and leaves a film residue; I cannot say if this is harmful to the bodywork.

The spray they apply at the end of the wash prior to drying the vehicle appears to be the problem but the attitude of the "manager" is the real problem. This is a great shame and I hope they get back to providing a good service and clean cars.

Not only do they fo a great job with high end cars they do a fantastic job on the lower end of the market cars. I couldn't be happier with the result. Decent hardworking polite staff

These guys (3 of them) washed my car which was caked in mud. Charged £12 and i gave them a £2 tip. Worth every penny. They consistently make a great job of cleaning my car. Would definitely recommend.

I've been using Village Car Wash for a few years now and I'm always pleased with the finish. The team are hard working and pay good attention to detail and I would highly recommend pulling in next time your car needs a little freshen up.

Today was the second time I've been there and they've ripped me off. I clearly stated twice that I wanted a £20 wash/clean, but when I came back to the car, they charged me £30 for the full interior polish. The first time this happened, I put it down to a rogue employee. Now I'm wondering whether it's the policy. There are plenty of other car washes around where they don't rip you off. DON'T GO TO VILLAGE CAR WASH!
