Calverts Carpets Ltd (Thirsk)

Have used Calvert's Carpets now a couple of times and we cant really fault them. They have a great selection of roll ends which we used on our previous house, this time in our new house we selected something from their sample books. The carpets were fitted and even all the rubbish was taken away. We'll always use them and have recommended them to our friends.

Purchased carpets for entire flat which seemed fine. Then decided to carry carpet out into 'public' landing in block of flats. Paid extra for using larger single roll of carpet which would entail quite a bit of wastage (cut out around lift shafts) but be 'one piece'. In the event the minimal amount of carpet was supplied which had to be cut and carved up by the fitters on the day. Over time this resulted in fraying edges, lifting and is an unsightly mess. When this was raised some time later when the defects became apparent (fraying, lifting took almost a year to occur as adhesive failed) was told they do not keep records of clients and carpets over a certain period of time, we should have not accepted it at the time, thank you and goodbye. If life were only that simple. Overcharged and under serviced. Never again.

Excellent service and fitting, fitters were amazing and were constantly watched by my 5 year old son, they had great communication and a joke with him, upon paying for the fitting they gave my son some money back, made his day, can't thank these guys enough, wouldn't use anyone else

Had LVT fitted in hall, kitchen and family room by Calverts. Paul did and excellent job fitting. Nice and flat, you can't see any joins! Very pleased with finish, we certainly picked the best company to go with. We love our new flooring. Well done Calverts.

I bought a carpet of Calvert's no problems they were very helpful and friendly
However I rang them to get it delivered to me an all was arranged then was phoned up to be asked if someone had collected my carpet for me an I explained no it was surpose to be getting delivered the person seemed confused an said they would ring me back however they didn't so I rang them they said everything was fine an that they were delevering. I in the end had to go pick my carpet up as the fiiter was able to come at a certain time an I wasnt able to have a time Calvert's would drop it off for me
When I got there they were a little shocked and couldn't find the carpet Id paid for it had gone without them knowing where or how
So I had to chose another carpet that was the right size but not the one I wanted or near the colour I had chose in the first place it was a rushed choice as there weren't many off cuts at the size I needed either

Quick visit for an off cut. Lots on offer and to choose from. Helpful chap. Free delivery locally. What more could you ask for?

We haven't even had our carpets fitted yet an their trying to robb us out of money that wasn't even discussed with me wen the order was placed NOT IMPRESSED!!

The staff are friendly and accommodating, the prices are brilliant too. I will definitely be going again.
