Carleton Lord Carpets Ltd

I moved to a new house in Bridgwater in Feb 2015, and used Carleton Lord for all of the flooring in the house at the recommendation of family members. I am so glad they told me to go with Carleton Lord as the house looks fab - the laminate flooring in the living room is really beautiful and even the builder commented that the vinyl laminate effect in the hallway and kitchen was hard to spot as vinyl! The fitters did a very good job too, all credit to them.
One important further point to mention is that their Customer Service is exemplary, they made you feel nothing was too much trouble, they dealt with changes in Completion dates really well, the fitters even stayed late (until 8pm) to make sure they finished the job before we moved in the next day!
I really don't think that other retailers would have paid this much care and attention to detail, so I thoroughly recommend you to use them too!

5 stars for customer service. We bought two lovely carpets from Carleton Lord for the bathroom and stairs. Unfortunately, the stair carpet we received was the wrong shade and we didn't see it until it was already laid. I phoned Carleton and was offered a choice of a replacement carpet in the right colour or £100 compensation which was about 50% of the original price. There was no fuss - they accepted that it had been an error on their part and did what they could to fix it. They wouldn't cover the cost of the refit but they didn't do the fitting to start with and I think what they did do was perfectly reasonable. All a bit of a shame - as I said, lovely carpet and it was a good price, but entirely too light a colour to survive on the staircase. All in all, I'm very happy with the service.

Trustworthy, knowledgeable, and very competitive pricing. We looked at a number of vendors and these are the best. Great service and huge range of flooring. Carpets / vinyl / laminate. Definitely will go here again in future!

Fitters always do an excellent job and we have been very pleased with all of the work that has been done at our property over the years.

A supremely helpful and professional service from start to finish. The showroom staff are very knowledgeable and helpful. The stock is fantastic - really worth a look. The carpet fitter arranged by Carlton Lord was there own and did a perfect job. Highly recommended and to top it off, they're independent.

We have bought carpets and rugs from Carlton Lord for many years. The customer service, quality and fitting (done by Paul) are always excellent. We wouldn't go anywhere else.

Very helpful staff, large selection of carpets and other floor coverings.

Popped into branch 16th Sept to arrange a quote whilst having my car MOT'd at the Halfords opposite.

They arrived at 4pm the following week and measured up.

Almost 4 weeks on and no quote has materialised.

I telephoned them and they blamed their email system, sorry but not a valid excuse as they had my mobile, landline and home address for post. When the chap said he would get 'Steve to call you' I advised 'no but expect a review on Google'. You've never heard someone trying to end a call as quickly as he did (16.40 on Tuesday 19th October).

Was having Karndean flooring at a price of circa £5k but figure if their presales and creating a positive image is this bad I'd not touch them with a bargepole...after all what would their installation and aftercare be like?

The two other companies I got to quote from (crucially after CLC's visit) managed to turn their quotes around in 48hrs and both offer % over 9-12 months CLC ltd does not.

A clear demonstration why British businesses fail.
