Toby Carvery Bishopstoke (Southampton)

We got there really early so was lucky enough to get a table. But as my first Toby Carvery experience, and from what I've heard about the restaurant, it matched it to a T. I went for the King size option, which included additional meat alongside the buffet vegetable options. Two words, awesome roast. The lamb was succulent, the turkey just right, and the beef was juicy. The gravy interacted with the Yorkshire pudding excellently and was a delight to devour. Honestly would return, especially for the price of only 13.99! (Plus all the addons)

We had a party of 10, one of which was a 3 year old and one elderly in a wheelchair for which access was easy. One of our party is vegan and they had no problem with the food supply. I booked for Sunday morning breakfast. The staff were very accommodating and helpful. The food was as expected and plenty of it. For the price I thought it was unbeatable and will definitely be returning.

Can confirm it’s the home of the roast - the roast where you can have Mac n cheese on your plate too. A bit odd but of course I had some! Really quick service dispute coming at prime time on a Sunday. The numpty I took left his hat there so I went back today to get it and they helped me even though they were closed due to some maintenance. Really helpful and friendly staff. 😊

Victoria was very friendly, outgoing, lovely and made us feel very welcome. She deserves a pay rise!

Joe was very polite and friendly. He paid attention to what we asked for and made sure we were happy with the amount of meat he carved for us.

Overall, the restaurant atmosphere was warm and friendly, with a very relaxed feel - just like going home after a long day.

Hi, so on my instructions I recommended a quiet place if possible as my son has Autism. We were placed on a great table in the corner near a wall. Our waitress Sarah was so attentive, friendly and helpful, she made me and my son feel very welcome. Our dinner was delicious, thanks kitchen staff! Pudding was great also. Our waitress was lovely, so friendly and attentive. It had a nice atmosphere there and is a relaxed place to eat with children. The meat was lovely from the carvery. I had Turkey and my daughter had beef, both were cooked great.
The vegetables weren’t the best quality, but I guess that’s due to them being sat there for a while. I had the sticky toffee pudding for dessert which is an favourite of mine. However I did feel let down as it wasn’t very tasty and hardly any toffee source on it.
The toilet facilities could use some TLC. As two of the cubicles had no lights working in them and another had a broken lock. Also one of the mirrors was broken.

Just had the most amazing Toby! The meat served by Steve was amazing as always and he is always so polite! The food was incredible, we couldn’t fault any of it and the gravy was spot on. The waitress Sarah though is what would bring me back, even if the food was a bit pants I would come back just to see her again! I haven’t laughed so much this week and she really makes the experience 100 times better. We could hear people laughing at all different tables and this was due to her, the atmosphere was brilliant due to her humour and kindness! If you go you won’t be disappointed with the food but definitely ask for Sarah as a waitress you won’t be disappointed!

Recently visited this Toby Carvery for a breakfast and it definitely didn't live up to it. The service was reasonable but that was the only thing fair about their breakfast. The sausage and bacon was cold, hard and stuck together and the beans were watery. They definitely need to cook their food in smaller batches.

Previous response about the Carvery: Great location, atmosphere and always friendly staff. Good selection of food on offer and the carvery is usually full.
