In reply to the previous poster; yes, singing is a feature of masses at Sacred Heart. I was thinking during mass on Sunday how much the singing helps us to be participants in the service rather than passive attendees so I personally welcome it. That said, not all masses last as long as the one you said you attended. I'm guessing that it was the 11:00 service. If you attended the 9:00 service instead, you would find it featured less singing. I personally like to attend the Saturday Vigil Mass where our singing is accompanied by some quite beautiful guitar music.
