Greenfields Cattery

It’s never a good feeling when one has to write a negative review only because no one likes to have a bad experience with anything however sharing the not so pleasant is equally as important as sharing the pleasant.

So in our experience we felt that this owner was unorganized and kept confusing us over changing dates and times. We wished we had written everything down so as to show that we weren’t the ones that had got it wrong. We also felt that the owner wasn’t really caring towards our two little ones but was very attentive to our money. We left with the feeling of dread rather than reassurance that we had left our babies in good hands. Upon our return we were once again met with confusion over timing and had to rush to collect our two outside their working hours. Upon collection our babies seemed very stressed and were meowing frantically, a totally different behavior from any other catteries we have used. They also seemed like they had not been fed but that could be due to them explaining that they were none to pleased with their recent experience.
In conclusion,

we advise caution on using this cattery, and we will certainly not be using them again.

I have been leaving our two cats, Mikey and Simba, at Greenfields for the past four years, sometimes several times each year as we love our holidays. Now I wouldn't leave them anywhere else. We have tried other places over the years but you have to go with your gut feeling, nowhere comes close to how we feel about Greenfields.

It's always a wrench as you walk away as you want to know you have left them in a nice place with people who are caring and trustworthy. John and Helen are the most delightful people and I know they really care for our cats. The cattery is always spotless and they are fed properly with our own food. Once when Simba was left with them and had to get regular antibiotics, they were faultless in delivering his jabs and his condition was clear when we got back.

Although our Mikey & Simba are always very pleased to see us when we return, they are always relaxed, healthy and happy. My husband has told me if I book a bad break again as I did recently in a small hotel in the Lake District he would rather stay at the cattery and I can go on my own!

We left our two cats ,one an elderly newly diagnosed diabetic in Helens care .We felt she listened to our concerns and did everything we requested to make us and our cats feel comfortable We were delighted when they came home to see that our patient had put on much needed weight and both were very happy. We have of course booked again and will look forward to our time away knowing they are in safe hands.

I wouldn't use any other cattery for my precious baby! The staff it's great and my cat was always happy there. Plenty of living space for the pets, in comparison with other catteries. We are usually bringing our food, as my baby is fussy, but the cattery provides this too. Thank you everybody, you are doing an amazing job!

Tiger was happiest ever, after his holiday. Love the cattery take pictures and post them on Facebook. It was nice to see him while we were away. Could tell he was well looked after by the softness of his coat. His coat would feel different if he was given poor quality biscuits, he has standards!

I actually used absent friends pet cremation services not the Cattery. I'll never be able to say enough in words how wonderful they were at such an awful time for me. They accommodated my every request where possible and made an awful day that bit easier. Would not use anywhere else now.

We always take our cat here. Friendly, clean, efficient service, and Teddy is very well cared for. They even provide a collection/drop off service.

I haven't used the cattery but the kind-assuring staff was beyond expected when greatly needed upon my cat passing away elsewhere and using their cremation facilities for pets they offer they were like angels caring and helping my family when we were in desperate need of advice, help and care for our beloved cat that we had time to say our goodbye to and confident that he was dealt with as we had wished for . Sensitive to our situation we were given advice that helped the concerns of the unknown and we used them again upon my daughters pets death .
I would recommend the caring hands of the staff if you want your pet to be individually cremated and a service that is priced well and worth so much more !
